There is no simple answer. But being nude in public as such is not illegal in India. Otherwise Naga sadhus and sadhvis and Digambar Jain monks and nuns would have been arrested in every instances much ago. But being indecent is illegal. And again, there is no precise definition and/or explanation of that term in constitution of India, and Indian society and law and order personnel often take advantage of that, though no lawsuit till now had put the matter to test in favour of either till now.
