Enjoyment of naked swim
Return to DiscussionsI suppose that I have more opportunities than many people to swim naked (4 private pools and one ocean so far this year), and a couple of spots on lakes to enjoy in a few weeks when they warm up. But wouldn't it be nice if it were the norm everywhere? A couple of weeks ago I was swimming laps at a university pool in my brief-style suit a and was comfortable enough. I didn't feel constrained in any way. I happened to
look over at the fellow swimming in the next lane. He was intent on his swim and looked comfortable enough too. It just hit me that he probably wouldn't care if I were naked, we're just there to swim. it's not to be, but it's too bad. There was a "men's" gym with pool and a "women's" gym with pool at the University of Illinois for many years, and it was common for men to swim naked in their pool. I don't think it was as common with women. Anybody know? The gyms were changed to co-ed in mid-1970s, the year before I got there, so I never enjoyed that privilege.
In the early eighties in my there was a gym in my hometown that had separate pools for men and women and some of the men chose to swim nude. My boss workout at the place and he felt odd about it yet was intrigued obviously since it mentioned it - a lot. I dont believe he was a nudist and at that time of my life I was not either.
I will say not that Im old and a wise guy after enjoying swimming nude, wearing a wet swim suit is most unappealing.
