Natural geothermal pools and springs for nude swmming and relaxing
Return to DiscussionsI have only been to Vogagj it is a great place for relaxing and some swimming but the water there is 40 degrees Celcius but so nice if you do not swim mutch. Great place for photography. My favorite place in Iceland. Problem is that is in a private land and one needs permission to go there but I can get if you would like to join me plus there is a rule about not giveing up its location one needs to go with somebody that knows were it is.
It is a place which is famous for nudity so it is a C/O place. Great to go whith friends and to encourage them to try out beeing nude for the full experiance.
Vogagj is a long crack in the earth 2-4 meter wide and aboud 8 meter deep to the surface of the water. The water it self is about 7 meters deep but there are few places to sit and stand in the water. It is a very clean and beautyful natural place.
If you are in Reykjavik there is a good place close by where you can bathe nude at. It is a 35 min drive from Reykjavik plus a 1 hour easy hike through a beautiful landscape. The place is called Reykjadalur and is just above the town Hveragerdi. Reykjadalur has many geothermal hot springs which are to hot to bathe in. But there is a hot river were you can find many places deep enough to bathe and relax in. The water there is about 38C and is just perfect. Reykjadalur is a valley surounded with beautiful mouintains far from the city lights. It is a great spot to enjoy the starbright night sky nude during winter time or the just beautiful nature. The place can be busy during summer time and most people go there wearing bathing suits. But during the evening and winter time you are most of the time alone. Nudity is not illegal in Iceland and you can find a quiet place in the river so you should always be able to be nude there.You should find pics and more informatin on google. number 1-3 are great for nudist to enjoy nudism in Iceland but there are many more and those that are more remote and isolated where you can be by your self or with friends and enjoy what the nature has to offer.
