There are a few times when I appreciate clothes. I currently walk to work, it takes about 25 mins, one morning this week I got caught in a sudden hailstorm, its times like this that I can appreciate clothing, being naked in that hailstorm would not have been fun. Whilst many other similar journeys would be fine to do nude in suitable weather if I could, but occasionally I do appreciate clothing for the protection it can offer. There are other occasions like cutting back brambles and other vegetation which is not fun if you do it nude, or takes much longer to do due to the extra caution required.
This doesn't mean I like clothing, in the vast majority of life I still hate having to wear anything and luckily do manage to be naked for the majority of time. On getting home the first thing I want to do is to return to the nudist world and live my life the best way. Our friends who visit us know we are nudists and know we're likely to be nude, some visitors are nudists too and join us naked, others are textiles but are fine with it being clothing optional. Its just a small part of the world but I wish that those of us who hate clothing could mix more widely while nude like this.
Anyone else appreciate clothing sometimes?

I'd have to agree with both of you. Living in temperate climates many of ushave to make it thru the Winter. Even at home I'm dressed much of the time during the colder months--if I were not the heating bills would go thru the roof! (which they almost do already).. . . Somehow it makes it that much nicer, even more sensuous and sexy, being able to peel everything off and enjoy the sun on that first glorious day of Spring weather!. . . My concession to Winter-a flannel shirt :)I often do the flannel shirt thing too! :-)

I live nude at home year round and so the freedom of it doesn't get appreciated so much. However I really do appreciate how great it feels to be naked again outside each spring, especially in social situations with nudist friends.
The weekend before last was warm enough to be nude outside at some friends in their sheltered suntrap out the back of their place. A good afternoon became wonderful once we were naked outside, very much appreciated. An appetizer, a taster for many more hours of nude socialising soon I hope.

I was told that the invention of a needle and thread saved mankind from extinction when moving to temperate climates. Clothes are required to protect us from the cold.

I was shoveling snow earlier today when the temperature was in the mid 30s (F). Clothing was definitely needed
