I Always Sleep Naked
For those who enjoy sleeping nude. Para aqueles que curtem dormir n.
Do you sleep naked when sharing a room at conference etc..?
Return to DiscussionsI always make it known that I am not shy about the bathroom and they are welcome to use it when I am in the shower or shaving and that I always sleep naked. Almost always the other guy is naked by the second night and becomes much more relaxed. I have made a lot of great friends in being honest and open with them. It's good bonding if your both naked.
When traveling for work, we are not required to share rooms.
Occasionally it does occur, but I will keep shorts handy if
the other person is offended or not receptive.
I have shared a room with a female coworker and friend in the
backcountry of Alaska. I did sleep naked and go about my
nightly routine naked. She was not bothered, but didn't join
me. She has since retired and I've had the opportunity to
travel with her son for work as well. He asked about that
trip, but wasn't offended. His mother had mentioned it to him
without names. He was actually just curious if I knew who it
was and quite surprised to find it was I. We've never had to
share a room, but were traveling together for several trips a
couple of years ago. He's never mentioned it since.
I've had much more objections from men than women over the
years. Don't get it really.
Last year I was at a union negotiations meeting that lasted 3 days. I was given a room with a guy from another facility, so we had never met before. Most of the day consisted of meetings, nights we usually hung out in the room. Though I didn't openly walk around naked in front of him, I did most things like I do at home like leaving the bathroom door open when I got in the shower. He returned to the room when I was in the middle of drying off and saw me naked, there wasnt any reaction. I spent the evening in boxers because I didn't know how he would react to me being nude. I didn't want to push it because it was a work related trip. When I was ready for bed I got under my covers and slid my boxers off. He laughter at me because he saw me throw them on the floor. Maybe if it happened again I may try staying nude, in just always afraid of how people will react..
For me it depends on the other person and if they are ok with it. You must always be respectful....though I must be changing as I age... in college I always slept nude never really thought about it
I have gone to several conferences and had to stay in the same room with work colleagues and I've gone on some Vegas trips with friends and stayed in the same room. I tell them when we start getting ready for bed BTW, just want to let you know I sleep naked and stay naked until I have to get ready to leave. Most said I don't care do what you want and with in 2 days they were joining me lol, a few of them said are you shitting me? really? are you serious?? I'd say YESSSSSSS and they said thank god so do I, I thought I was going to get stuck wearing this damn underwear all week. the other 2 just put up with it..... I always sleep nude where ever I am and with whom ever I'm with...
In a conference situation with a co worker it could be a problem for them. I test the waters with fellow PhD students with whom I travel with for conferences. I crack a couple of jokes and more often than not they are too shy to get naked. It's a pity, can't force it.
But at times I travel with a nice mate who's a nudist, too, I found out. And it's really fun to just be ourselves without false pretenses. We share a bed at times, and the bathroom too.
He's very chill like me. When each of us bring a girl, the other leaves for a couple of hours and wait for the text after she's gone.
It's a nice friendly bonding experience.
Wow! Things must be getting rough out there - businesses are getting tight! I never had to share a hotel room with a co-worker (well, except in an Army barracks); and never a female co-worker (Army included!)
I have shared hotel rooms with other men from work sometimes or some other functions and I always tell my roommates that I sleep nude and if they have a problem with it we can discuss the issue. Majority of the time the men think I am joking or that I meant I sleep in my underwear. So most cases when I strip off my pants (of course I am commando) the other man will either say something like ' whoa, you weren't joking. ' Then the discussion happens. The thing is they say nothing but ask me how long have been sleeping naked. On one account and only one account did my roommate get naked too. He too also sleeps naked and was a home nudist too.
When I shared a room with a coworker I always wore boxers or gym shorts for sleeping.
Most of my roommates wore underwear, but at least one wore sleep pants.
One stripped to very brief bikini underwear as soon as we got back to the room.
