hbr first trip to July
Return to DiscussionsAndy,We are heading to HBR in early December. We have another couple traveling with us for their first visit. It is a nice resort. Very friendly workers. A lot of coral in the water, but very warm. It is inside a large clothed resort which has several restaurants to choose from.Mike & Norma
Thanks for the input! I've read where clothing is required in all other parts of this large resort. Are there restaurants within HBR where we can either dine nude or with just a sarong on?
Are the other restaurants covered under the HBR all inclusive price? Is there sandy portions of the beach to sit on or are there ample number of cabanas for everyone? What is close by that is a must see?
Thanks for everyone's input!
There is a restaurant in the nude area. You can be nude or wear a sarong. There are many cabanas and chaise lounges to use on the beach. There is nice sand all along the beach.
We have visited Tulum where there are some ruins. We will probably visit another ruin in the interior this trip.
We pulled the trigger and are really excited about finally visiting this place! We'll only spend a few nights at HBR but from what we've heard, read and see ... we'll probably wish we'd stayed longer!
Question for those that have visited before or many times before; Do you use their shuttle service? How's that work out? Arrival time was no big deal when making reservations ... what about return transfers to Cancun Airport? Are there specific times the shuttle leaves?
Thanks again for all your input!
We were booked with Lomas Travel when we made the reservations this morning. Looking forward to our visit and will definitely post a trip report upon our return but that's not for quite some time yet.
I'm sure I'll have more questions as time passes. I appreciate all the input so far.
:-)
