Are you "A" furry?
Return to DiscussionsWhen I first found this group I thought I had found a group of
other furries I could chat with about the fandom with. The
description even said, "If you're into Furry Fandom, join this
group."
For those that don't know what the Furry Fandom is.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furry_fandom
The furry fandom is a subculture interested in fictional
anthropomorphic animal characters with human personalities and
characteristics. Examples of anthropomorphic
attributes include exhibiting human intelligence and facial
expressions, the ability to speak, walk on two legs, and wear
clothes. Furry fandom is also used to refer to the community of
people who gather on the Internet and at furry
conventions.
So the question is, are you a furry or just hairy?
Its my understanding that Furries wear their outfits,so they wouldn't be nude. I guess its confusing because the groupis called Furry Nudists, leading to the idea of hairy nakedpeople
Real life if in their fursuits then yes, technically they will be
they will be wearing it and not naked. But the term
furry is just a slang term given forfictionalanthropomorphic animals that
people make up as their alternate personality characters called
fursonas. (can be cats, lions, wolfs, dragons, and so on) To some
it is lifestyle and they will have full suits of their characters,
to others it may never be more then a drawing on the computer or
paper.
In this lifestyle they just like humans they do wear clothing and
some dont like to wear clothing. So their are nudists furries
that like to walk around just in their fur.
But really it hard to say what this group was really meant for since the description says furry fandom but the main pic is a hairy guy and
you have to ask the person who made it. But he has not been
on for over 2 years.
Seeing the main picture does make it a little confusing. As for wearing a costume, since I'm unable to sprout a tail and fur I have to stick with an outfit that would be much more comfortable in 10F temps than inside a convention building.
