SMILE :)
Seriously, the same thought has entered my mind. From what I have noticed, the phone does not seem to be pointed at others but is being used for acceptable purposes. Hope this is everyones experiences.
Why all that problem if someone take a shot. We must learn to not be afraid of our nudity. I someone take same shots asking if I can do it, and sometimes people say yes and sometime no. For me and my girlfriend there aren't any problem to be part of a photo if we are not main subject. I find it natural, I like have souvernir of places I visit, why don' t do it while naked!
I've wondered what some people are using their phones for at nudist beaches and clubs too.
At nude beaches there are usually no rules, just a general understanding that nudists don't take photos of each other without permission. Passing textiles, lurkers in nearby dunes and bushes don't always respect nudists in the same way. If you're in the public domain here in England you don't have any right to stop a photographer taking a shot with you in it, while nude or otherwise. I've witnessed a few instances of very irate nudists confronting photographers, their camera memory being wiped was the result. Though if you know what you're doing you can often retrieve supposedly erased photos, so I guess some of those angry nudists may believe the sneaked shots were gone, when in fact they've been recovered.
At a club its a different matter, they'll have their own rules on photography from what I've seen at the ones I've used, some even restrict possession of phones to certain areas of their grounds and buildings. The nudist spa we visited recently bans phones anywhere beyond the changing room. People may just be texting or playing games at a nudist resort but lots of others there can be made uneasy when a phone appears to be pointed in their direction.
I'm thankful that I'm open about being a nudist, I don't care if people learn of my nudism through photos. But a lot of other nudists are not so open, for all sorts of reasons and they can get upset with the idea that they may have been photographed while innocently enjoying life the best way, as nudists.
Being a true nudist, I'm not concerned, who takes pictures on their mobiles even if they send them around the world, at least it confirms and promotes the movement of nudity. The more societies learn about the freedom of nudity, hopefully it might be more accepted.
I can't understand the concern some people have about cameras or mobile phones being used in naturist areas. My thinking is different. If we say that nudity is decent and appropriate and therefore we aren't ashamed of our nudity, why should we look at the camera or mobile phone with fear or displeasure? If I'm not troubled about people using the camera when I'm clothed, I shouldn't be troubled about people using the camera when I'm nude. That must be the only logical approach.
I walked naked down the long beach just before Christmas. In my Santa hat and big white beard I looked like a naked Santa. It was received well by the textiles on the beach. When I saw someone hold a phone up I stopped and posed for them. At least 4 photos were taken, not counting the ones we took ourselves. The last was with a group of girls, keen to be pictured with nude Santa.
Just spitballing, I'd imagine that anyone concerned isn't concerned about the "decency" of nudity, but that the general public doesn't necessarily agree, and any repercussions they might face in, for example, a fairly conservative work environment if a higher-up somehow became aware. Now, you might say, "Well, if the higher-up sees the pictures, then they must have been looking for it." Maybe...maybe not. Who knows.
Myself I don't particularly care who sees me nude, but I also don't advertise at work that I'm a nudist, because it's one of those large, fairly conservative companies. Let's face it...most people, especially at such companies, (wrongly) automatically associate nudity with sexual conduct or some form of deviance.
That's also keeping in mind that there are some out there who, even if clothed, don't want pictures taken of them without their permission. I recently saw a story online about two young women in an airport who, believing a man nearby had taken their picture, confronted him until he showed them the pictures and deleted them. (Ironically, filming him without his permission during the confrontation...then posting it online.)
