Fuerteventura

A group dedicated to the Canary Island of Fuerteventura (Spain). An island of outstanding natural beauty where nudism is very tolerated except in the main resort beaches, the island is becoming increasingly popular with nudists of all ages. Nudist hotspots, the vast expanse of beaches in the dunes of Corralejo, El Cotillo and the beaches of the Jandia peninsula.

New nude resort

Return to Discussions

This month's H&E has a feature on a new nudist hotel in Fuerteventura called Gran Hotel Natura. I'm staying there in the third week in March. Hopefully it will be warm enough to be naked in comfort. My usual haunts in southern Europe wont have warmed up by then.

Thanks for the tip. Looks like a nice resort. Would be interested to hear what you think of it after your visit.
I've been to Fuerteventura several times, but only down south on the Jandia peninsula. Stayed at Monte Marina each time.
Has anyone stayed at both Jandia and in or around Corralejo? How do they compare?

RE: New nude resort

I had a great week. The hotel is surrounded by a high screen to give privacy to nudists walking throughout the complex. It has two pools with a pool bar sheltered from Fuerteventura's winds by a high glass screen. Below are a gym, Jacuzzi and sauna. Rooms have an en-suit bed room with king size bed, a sitting room with TV, cooking facilities and balcony. There is also a restaurant for dinner and breakfast. I was told that a minimum of a towel is required for dinner but, as it was still winter, I would want to wear more in the evening. Indeed the sun did loose its strength at about 5.30pm after which the temperature dropped.
It is on the edge of the town of Corralejo at the north end of the island. The island is arid and made mainly of black volcanic rock. One of the few golden sandy beaches stretches 9km south down the east coast from the hotel. I was told it is made of sand blown from the Sahara by the strong winds. The town is a lively seaside resort with a port for sailings to Lanzarote and Lobos island.
I explored the island on foot and in my hire car, usually doing both naked. It has interesting mountain scenery down the middle and a coast line of cliffs on the east. Footpaths are well marked and the surfaced roads are good and lightly trafficked. There are also several dirt tracks worth exploring. I would not risk going into the towns naked but the countryside and beaches are nude-friendly. Quite often I would be surrounded by textiles who just regarded me with curiosity. There are many beaches where the nudes are in the majority, however.
I enjoyed my stay and will go back.

The beaches at the north end of the island are almost as good as those in the south. The hotel was great. You can read about my stay in A Nudist Diary group.

We were there in early March, and had a wonderful time. Friendly staff, excellent facilities and great food. The rooms are to a high standard but they could do with including a toaster. (we made ours in a dry frying pan, it worked, but a toaster would be handy)
It was great not to wear clothes for almost the entire time, altho' we were told we would have to be dressed at dinner (It was too cold at night not to anyway even for us hardy Scots) Perhaps this changes when the warmer nights arrive. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who's been in high season about this.
If you want a recommendation, well we re-booked the day after we got home.
Fabulous place.

I was there in November & again 1st week April this year. Definitely like the place - location right by beach is great - you can walk out of hotel side gate nude [though you might get some funny looks]. Dressing for dinner is de rigeur I believe all year. Certainly friendly - Ingo gives you extra hugs if you return. Prepare to be sandblasted on the beach.
