Hiking the Florida Trail - South of the Ocala National Forest
Return to DiscussionsI am planning to do some day hikes on the Florida Trail just south of the Ocala National Forest. I have detailed maps of the Florida Trail in this area.
There are about 20 miles of trails between Clearwater Lake Campground and SR 46, just above Heathrow. This section can be broken up into two hikes or be done as a one day hike. There are also marked loop trails in this area.
Would anyone care to join me on these hikes. I will be hiking in that area for three days, February 17, 18, and 19.
I may camp at the Sunny Sands Nudist Resort.
