Rest area (no services) stop on nude drive
Return to DiscussionsRecently enjoyed a lengthy drive 4 hours nude. Stopped to eat my lunch at a rest area I knew with no services but there are picnic tables! 4 cars came thru in the half hour I was there. No one even looked in my direction.. the security camera either wasnt on or watchers didn't care.
In my experience, nobody actually watches security cameras at such locations. The payroll cost to do live monitoring would be prohibitive.
The recording is normally only held for a limited period before being overwritten and in any case will only be viewed if there is evidence that vandalism or other undesirable activity has taken place or if there is a report requiring investigation from an official, the police or a member of the public.
For this reason, I have given up taking any notice of security cameras as they will only be used if somebody registers a complaint. Almost everybody, including people offended by nudity, will not be prepared to spend the amount of time needed to make the sort of complaint that would provoke action by the authorities.
I was pushing my boundaries but thought, go for it! The picnic tables were up an embankment about twenty feet w a curving pathway up from parking lot so i could see all coming in . Good logical thoughts on monitoring the cams !

How cool, i would love to find a quiet rest area in the UK, and do the same, looks like you enjoyed yourself

How true, no one takes any notice, we had hours of recording on a memory card and ended up deleting everything on it, until something happens the recordings are not required
The only exception might be a really curious neighbour who wants to know about everything in their street. I have my suspicions locally. Rest stops may be less of a concern although motion sensing cameras may only keep the activity anyway. It would probably still need a complaint before anyone looked. Would the camera capture licence plates?

In my opinion, shorts are the wrong thing for this scenario. Putting them on will be rather obvious attracting just the sort of attention which you want to avoid.
A simple cotton wrap such as the one I am wearing in the pictures can be used as a sitting cloth on the picnic bench or chair and unobtrusively wrapped over you when needed.
