A case for driving naked in cold weather

(no I'm not Sophia Petrillo, it's not about Sicily):
It is a bright sunny day, snow on the ground but pavement is dry, temp 40 F . I have a 5.5 hour drive to Illinois.
I have the option of setting the thermostat that will keep face and hands warm, but with the solar gain I soon will have overheated trunk, legs, groin. Then starts the cycle of either frequently resetting the thermostat or cracking the window (with the windchill I end up with frost on my nose). Not too comfortable for a long drive.
OR I can strip out of all my clothes, shoes and socks as soon as I leave town, set the thermostat to a constant temperature which is perfectly comfortable (72 F worked great). All body parts are uniformly warmed. Sweat pants and shirt, slip-on shoes next to me for quick cover (one pit stop and two toll booths). I arrive relaxed and comfortable, not sweaty, and harried. I chose this option.
I have been driving nude long enough to observe that people do not look into other peoples cars (and mine is small, a Civic). The trip included two lane rural highways, four lane interstates, 8 lane urban expressways. Big rigs, no concern. Buses I put something over my middle when passing (happened maybe twice). Return trip even easier, sort of gray and rainy, nobody's paying attention to the car next to them. I think that driving nude is worth it year round.

Its cozy to drive this way, especially at night. I do it regularly.
With the dark and the cold it's perfect. Heating turned right up to keep snug, and pitch black driving so nobody can see me drive naked - perfect
With most of my journeys short this time of year time the car is warm enough to be nude it would be not worth stopping and stripping off. The only longer trip is to a place where I will be working in an unheated building so need more cloths on to keep warm when there so will be even more hassle to strip off.
I've been having some sciatica problems recently. We were driving home from Nashville today and I was just wearing shorts and a shirt. The waistband of the shorts was hitting right on my hip where it was driving my sciatic nerve crazy. By the time we stopped for lunch I was ready to lose the shorts. Drove with just a shirt on from Atlanta all the way home to Daytona Beach. Not a bit of sciatic pain the whole time. Loved it. My wife said it was just so I could be nude, but it really made a difference.
We made ourselves some hot chocolate (she) and travel mug of coffee (me), a blanket for her and her robe and me in my robe and went out to her car in the COLD garage, got in and drove around our neighborhood to look at Christmas lights in the area. It's been cold in the mornings 31-33 degress and cold at night ... low 40's.
As the car warmed up, my robe came off, her robe was unzipped and opened and the blanket thrown in the backseat. It felt great driving around our area undressed like that and the amount of vehicles out and about, some looking at lights on homes, like us, and others coming home from errands and such. The inside of the car was warm but we actually stopped at a few houses and opened the windows to hear the music playing to the light show a few houses had to display.
