Diane and I have no issues being open as long as it is within the law.As we own a 1971 MGB we love to go in the country and drive around totally nude.we do have shirts, just in case but we have never had to use them. Being a nudist is such a pleasureful lifestyle, I was on my way home from Ohio one night and decided to give it a try. It was night time. the road was not being heavily traveled. I took off my clothes and kept on driving. It was wonderful. I ended up getting close to home and thought okay maybe I'd better get dressed again. I drive naked any time I get the chance nowadays.
I started doing it because the air conditioning in my car did not work. Where I live it gets to 100F almost every day, so it's probably 110F in the car. I would strip off because it was so uncomfortable to wear clothes. However, it is a nightmare getting dressed agin before reaching my destination.
Problem is, it feels so good to be naked in the car that I can't stop i doing it now. My car has tinted windows, so I do not worry about being seen, in less there is a camera pointing down at me from ahead.
I have a couple of times been beside a car intrados. which was higher than me, if they had looked they would have got an eyeful
It's simply too much fun to give up - I have driven naked every day this year, and I plan to not miss a day for the rest of the year. Good times.
Reason??? Do we really need a reason? Lol. I very much enjoy the freedom and pure nakedness of driving naked. I have done this for many, many years. Short trips, long trips, across town, to the store, anytime I can be nude in the car, I am. Driven 4=5 hours and as short as 2 miles. Anytime naked in the car is better than clothed. Driven thru drive thrus, toll bridges, in the city and on highways. Don't always have coverups, but do when in the city just in case of police. Driving nude is one of the best things I've done nude. Everyone should try it.
I love to be able to drive naked. I travel everyday for work. A minimum drive time to a job is an hour so whenever i have the opertunity i drive naked. Its just so relaxing and not binding. I really hate the feel of clothes constricting me. I tend to drive a little slower and more cautiously when driving naked just so as to not draw attention to me. I carry a pair of shorts with me so when i reach home i can get inside without the whole neighborhood getting offended. I'm not sure if i have ever been seen while driving naked. My wife will ride bottomless sometimes with me, but she is still very afraid of being seen even though I have a good tint on my windows.
Earlier this year (I still don't think of myself as a nudist but back then was only ever naked indoors at home) I said that it would be impossible for me to be naked in the car. This was because the roads I use are far too busy and I would definitely be seen.
On one occasion I did have the chance to drive naked, leaving home at 3:30am. Throughout the whole trip I saw one person and two rabbits. As I was actually wearing a boiler-suit over my normal clothes it was even worse and even more uncomfortable than normal. I'd regretted my choice before I'd left my drive.
However, when the summer finally started to appear, when driving home from work I started removing my shoes and socks and wearing 'crocs' (a brand of plastic sandals) , as well as removing my trousers (I also started going commando to work this year) and wearing shorts.
I then moved on to not putting the shorts on and driving home bottomless occasionally. I have now got to the point that I always drive home bottomless. Thankfully I have a drive-in garage at home so I don't even have to put the shorts on to get into the house. I even take my crocs off once I'm in the car.
I'm certain that nobody has seen me because other cars are alongside me for very short periods as I over take or am overtaken. Also, my shirt covers enough of me to hide my bits, and almost completely hide the fact that I haven't got shorts on.
The reason for doing this is exactly the same reason I'm naked at home - comfort. The more I don't wear clothes, the more I want to not wear them. Both work and my village are very conservative so I make every effort to not be seen or to not upset anyone
It's a pure comfort thing. There's no tight, sweaty and restrictive clothing. My body has an opportunity to get air and breathe.
I'll drive bottomless whenever possible, but fully naked is preferred. Sadly, this being Canada, it's damn near impossible to drive nude in the winter! I deliver beer so the work truck is higher and makes driving nude very easy! I dress before the deliveries and strip off when i'm on the road again. I normally stick to the 1 hr principle; so that's if my next stop is an hour away, I strip off
I've done the bottomless thing a few times but it's usually when I'm driving through a drive thru and I'm in a lower profile vehicle or if it's very cold out. Most times, after I've driven through the drive thru, I slip off the top and am naked for the rest of the drive.

I drive home bottomless most of the time now. I have only managed one totally naked trip so far but that was at 1am and through the countryside so I was safe.
As I'm becoming more allergic to textiles :-) and enjoying being free more, I have noticed for the first time how tight the seat belts hold you. My solution is to use a bulldog clip to just release the tension. I still wear the seatbelt, and only have to lean forward a little to feel it holding me, but in the normal driving position it doesn't pull or hold and is so much more comfortable
I've driven home from the nudist beach and nudist resort both a couple hours away with my shorts off and it does feel good. I have always left my shirt on because the strap on the seatbelt isn't comfy on the bare skin. I wear the same shirt when I'm traveling long distances. It's a work out shirt so very light and almost feels like i don't have one on so next best thing. We go to North Carolina every summer to our cabin up there and am thinking now that the kids aren't coming with us every time I might have to try that if the wife is okay with it. That's an 8 hour trip. Wouldn't that be nice.
