Daring
Return to DiscussionsI just wanted to say hey since I am new to the group. Hub and I have started going on day trips to different locations here in SC and a bit in NC. Unfortunately non of them are clothing optional but Ive started getting a bit daring and going topless. Being in the bible belt its really difficult to be able to find a public place to go nude and not have to worry about having the police called. Hopefully I or we'll be able to do some of the dares that are posted.
livin nudie it all about being creative and doing your research, look for national forest, parts of a lake less visited or nudist resorts in your area using the computer or books. also be careful in desolate areas as there are a lot of creepy people. i think one advantage a female has over a male is if you see someone coming just have and slip on a long tee shirt heck i see females and that appears to be all they are wearing out, a male can go topless but still have to slip on shorts if someone approaches - how many of have fallen over putting shorts on. dares are kinda cool just need the right opportunity.

LivinNudie...I have a dare, specially designed for you. Unfortunately, it will be quite a long time before you can do it. Summer Solstice is Naked Hiking Day. On Summer Solstice, go for a hike, but hike naked. Here is the kicker and the part that is special for you. It's not close, but not that far form you either. TheAppalachian Trail. People hike the entire trail, which I believe can take months. Tradition is that you hike nude on Summer Solstice for the section you are doing on that day.
You two can plan ahead, maybe take a hike out there to check out an area you might like for this purpose. The trail is closest to you on the NC/Tenn border, as well as coming down into Georgia where it ends. It starts all the way up in Maine, so if you are not against traveling, you can pick a place anywhere along the way. You could plan a trip to Vermont and fit in your hike up on that part if you'd like.
I recommend doing some research on the nudity laws for the areas that the trail goes through and choose a place that has lenient laws. Then find a remote part of the trail and hike. If you and Hub are together, you stand a better chance of people not haveing a problem. Jus have something you can calmy slip on when you see people approaching. Hopefully, you'll run into other nude solstice hikers.
I am rather far form theAppalachian trail, but hiking part of it nude on Solstice is on my bucket list, for certain.
We have spent many days in the Appalachain's naked. Hiking and waterfalls offer wonderful photo shots. You can be on trails for hours without seeing a single sole.
We have found it is easier than you think to get a dare accomplished, people are so busy in their own routine they really don't pay attention to what is going on around themselves. Yep, go out to a local forest or park and just sit there for a few minutes and see who is around and how you could position yourself to get a photo. Don't go in prime time but early morning or later afternoon, a weekday is better. Drive naked in the car on a backroad and get some photos doing that. Then stop somewhere on the backroad and quickly get out and get a few more photos. You should be able to see in both directions if another vehicle is approaching and have time to get back in the car before they can see. Yes, planning is best but it is also easy. We also know that if you find a place and think about it too long you will usually not do the dare because you have over thought it. If seen, just a smile and a wave has always been the best approach rather than run and hide as if you are doing something wrong.
Hoping to see your attempts real soon.
A stream just off the road made for some good photos in the Appalachians.
Starting the hike.
Hey thanks for the advice. I was actually looking at some waterfalls in NC so Im glad ya'll mentioned the Appalachian Trail. Wehad talked about going up there in the fall when the leaves change but I think now we're gonna have to take a trip in the summer tooI let hub do all the driving so I get to relax nudie andenjoy the riding.
