Return to DiscussionsMaybe it's not really so daring here, but I really enjoy the mixed nude saunas here in Germany. Especially in the summer when the temperatures are warm and it stays light out very late. I'm really missing this activity with the current pandemic.
I just joined this site and am still exploring here, but this group seems right for me. I've definitely gone for nude drives before, nude bike rides and walks late at night, and enjoy hanging out on my terrace totally naked in view of the neighbours.
I think the German (and Austrian) saunas are particularly refreshing where nudity is obligatory and taken as normal - with men and women naked together and with complete strangers. Nobody feels threatened.
Here in the UK some form of cover is required except in men-only or women-only sessions. I am with a nudist group which takes over the town's Turkish Baths once a month over the winter. Then we are all naked. (Unfortunately it is closed during Corona lock down, so no joy this year.)
Public saunas in Sweden and Finland are in fact not mixed. You will have 2 saunas. But what Pamela says is also correct as to why: there are very few public saunas as most have private saunas or access to one. Hotels hve 2 saunas, but at least visited naked. In other countries, you have to be clothed.
