an opportunity how would you take advantage of it?
Return to Discussionstomorrow afternoon there is a guy coming to do a walk through appraisal of my home to renew a home equity loan.I would like to be bare while he is here, should I give him a heads up when he calls to confirm? or just be bare whenhe gets here? and see if he voices any objection.
ideas? who of you has greeted someone in the real estate business in the buff?

I must agree with Bareballing. You will be conducting a business visit with this gentleman - there is a time and place for everything and I believe this is the time to be conservative andmake a good first impression on someone you have not met before. Youneed to put your best foot forward.
I would agree with both of the above replies, because it is a business arrangement which you solicited and you didn't include undressed when making the appointment. But I certainly understand the feeling of wanting to show the property in the same way you live in it. Maybe one day it won't be such an issue.
It's not really a social event, it's a business deal. I guess I see it this way... I would never meet an appraiser in a bath robe, I'd at least have on casual clothes, jeans and a t-shirt minimum, because he's going to dress up to meet you, etiquette says you should do something to meet him at the same level. Even if he's a total nudist, there's a couple reasons why this isn't a good idea.
1. He's going to be there an hour, two tops. That's not enough time to actually enjoy stripping down nude, it's become a task that's going to be more frustrating than rewarding. Afterward he has to go enter the data he's gotten into his system, assess you blah blah, and that's going to be an immediate need, so he won't have time to dawdle. Think of it like the pizza delivery guy porn scenario... not that this is a sexual event, but in real life even if you're pizza guy is a total stud and the person who wants them to stick around is looking pretty good themselves, the reality is he's working and has other things to focus on.
2. He's going to come to you dressed in something at least business casual, possibly in a full suit. It's not something he can take off and put down somewhere without getting it disheveled and making himself look bad the rest of the day. He has to keep up appearances, and can't be doing that.
Now, there's nothing wrong, however, with mentioning that you're a nudist. He's going to be seeing the house, you could casually mention when he's looking at one of your closets or at your laundry room how neither one sees a lot of action because normally you don't wear any clothes. If he continues the conversation with you from there mention that you're a nudist and that if this wasn't a business meeting you would be naked right now. He'll either laugh and say well I appreciate the gesture or well I don't blame you I'd rather be naked myself and then you can see where the conversation goes. If he says rather be naked than invite him to hang out at another time no clothes needed... if he makes the other comment drop it and finish your business.
I am a long time nudist, and I don't understand why you would want to be nude when someone is coming to your home that you do not know if that person is a nudist and/or will be offended by you being nude. Being a nudist and you can believe me I am a full time nudist, meaning I am nude every second I can and everywhere I can. But would not stay nude when someone was coming to my home that I do not know if they are a nudist and/or would be offended by me being nude. At the very least you could remain covered while he is there. If while he is there the opportunity comes up that you can bring up the fact that you are a nudist and heis also a nudist and/or indicates that your nudity would not bother him then it may be ok to undress and be nude during future meeting with this person as long as he does not object.
Good choice. The worst thing a true nudist can do is set our cause back. That's not to say that there aren't times to be daring, but we should never risk offending others. (A rare exception might be those in a position to DO something to further naturism). It reminds me of the people who MUST have sex if they're nude - they ruin more good nude beaches, and other great spots due to their selfishness, and give us all a bad reputation.
Sure, one has the 'right' to be naked at home, but I would consider it to be extremely disrespectful of the bank representative to do it.
