One night at work, I got soaked in the rain and decided to not drive home like that, so I stripped and drove home naked, knowing that no one could see me unless I had my dome light on. Going through Lakeland, Fl, the next sizeable town from where I lived, I saw flashing police lights and pulled over to let them by. They pulled in behind me, and let me know I had a tail light out. I had pulled a shirt over my lap. The officer asked if i could get out of the car, and I calmly said I had gotten soaked and was driving naked. He asked if I could wrap myself in the shirt (he wasn't keen on letting me get my pants on). I wrapped in the shirt and stepped out. He made me do a sobriety test. No problem. Wasn't drinking. They ran my tag and license and gave me a warning ticket to replace the tail light.
That was it. There were two officers, and they seemed amused, but no one actually said anything about me being nude.
I don't drive naked for the thrill, for the hope that someone will see me, ... I've gotten into many a argument with others, on here, about my driving nude and them referring to some of us that do that, as exhibitionists. First ... if I were an exhibitionist I'd drive naked only in the daylight hours, I'd would NOT have tinted my car windows so dark that you can't see into my vehicles and do ALL I could to be seen. Instead; I drive naked all hours of the day and night, I have dark tint on the windows of my vehicles, I am always aware of my surroundings and always have a towel or pair of shorts nearby ... in the event ... that someone MIGHT be able to see me and I won't take chances with that.
I've driven naked for over 30 years. I've talked with city cops, sheriff deputies, highway patrolman ... they've ALL said ... "as long as you're not being lewd ... AND ... if we've got nothing else more important to do, we won't bother with someone simply driving naked. It's not an issue with us." How is it that law enforcement officers, both men and women, see this as a non issue, yet ... we have nudists on this site that see it as an issue. Some just like to listen to their own BS. :D

Well said. Thank you. I even cover with shorts for all the surveillance cameras that are popping up every mile or so on highways. It's getting annoying though, due to the increased numbers of those cameras. I want to never be seen driving naked...except by my wife, of course. It's about the freedom, the sun and the moving air for me.
Speaking of HIGHWAY FUN, I drive naked all the time, been doing so for over 30 years and if I'm in shorts and I'm going to drive for a period of 15-20 mins or longer ... I'm naked.About a year and a half ago, we took over/bought my dad's motorhome. That is my favorite vehicle to drive nude. I've driven from our home to Lake Havasu to visit friends and the openness of the motorhome, that huge windshield ... it's almost like driving a convertible! My wife is still not comfortable being completely naked in her seat but she will wear a shirt/large blouse and sit there with it unbuttoned and will cover when I tell her that she might need to.
It's our hope to hook up our Jeep to the back of the motorhome and head out on the road to visit friends in TX. Looking forward to that long drive and the naked drive together. Love to drive that motorhome so much that I'll get naked and drive it from home to the storage lot and that's closer than the 15-20 mins I spoke of! hahaha
I do enjoy driving naked been across the states from southern California to Colorado, from my home to the beach. When i headed east last summer i was talking on the phone and not thinking stop at McDonald's to get something to eat, stepped out of the van and realized i didnt have anything on, got back back into the van quickly....have no odea if anyone saw me,...but driving back home on the trip and i stopped at a rest area got not thinking got half way to the comfort station didnt have anything on and i just went in and finished my business and got back into the van and went on my merry way.
