Traveling light
Return to DiscussionsWho has gone on an overnight or longer trip taking no clothing except what you were wearing?
Where did you go and how long did you stay?
What did you wear for the trip?
Shorts and shirt?
Shorts only?
Nothing?
If the latter 2, how did you handle stops along the way?
All being well he will give me some clothes to depart in !
Not traveling, but I thought you be interested in the series of post about someone who had no clothing in his possession for an entire summer that starts at the bottom of this page:

How is this for travelling light -I have been chatting to a fellow nudist on here from overseas - the plan is later this year I am going over to meet up.I will fly over and only have the clothes im wearing - no luggage. At he airport he will pick me up then I will strip in his car - so he can throw them out. That is truly dedicated. On one holiday I took very few clothes and had the rule that anything I wore would be trashed. I soon ran out of clothing, not daring to wear what I needed to fly home in.Was it your own idea to throw out anything after you wore it once or was it the work of you traveling companion(s)?It was my idea and the guesthouse host carried it out (cutting off my clothes) in front of the other guests. There are several holidays in which my friend and I have stripped naked on leaving the airport at the start of the holiday and only getting dressed when returning to the airport for departure a week later. There was one in which we couldn't stay naked for the whole week and agreed that everything that was worn would be trashed as it was taken off. It was a great way of stopping us getting dressed (or covering up in any way as it included wraps and anything else).
Is this two different holidays, one where your host cut off your clothes and another when you all agreed to trash clothes as you took them off?
How long were the trips and how soon did you run out of clothes except your traveling home outfit?
In the trip where your host cut your clothes off, were he and the others nude or dressed?
Hope you brought old clothes in both cases because it would be a waste to trash good ones.

One more question, on the holiday where you all agreed to trash you clothes when you wore them once and took them off, did everyone bring about the same amount of clothing, or did some bring more so they could dress more often?
All these questions. Yes they were two separate holidays, each for a week. The one where the host trashed my clothes was in a nudist guesthouse but we'd all just been into town for the evening (each evening). Some of the other guests were clothed but only temporarily They clearly enjoyed the show.
On the other holiday my friend and I agreed to trashing what we had worn after the start of the holiday. So there was no opportunity to prepare by taking extra clothes or agreeing that we would each have the same. I think I ran out first.
This string has inspired me not to take any clothing, except what I'm already wearing, on my next two holidays.

Where are you going that you won't need any clothes while you are there?
I have gone to nudist resorts a few times to stay for a week+, only taking the clothes I was wearing to get there & return home in. But I was not exactly traveling light. I had the bed of my P/U truck loaded up pretty well. One 96 qt. ice chest for meats & eats that needed to stay cold, one 48qt. ice chest for beverages & a small 8 or 12 pack cooler to take drinks to the pool area. Several cases of beer, not chilled yet as well as non-refrigerated food, a camp stove with pots & pans and a small BBQ pit, a tent with fans and extensions cords along with some folding chairs. There were other things packed in there but I won't list EVERYTHING. You get the idea. I wanted to make sure I had everything we needed for the entire stay, so as not to have to get dressed to go out and get something else. I go there to get nekkid and stay that way the whole time I am there and not have to put on any clothes for the entire time. I even refuel the truck a few miles before arriving at the gate so I can leave for home with a full tank and won't have to stop for gas right away, in case I decide to drive home nude from the nude resort.
It is my intention to do similarly to Lakeman for my fortnight at Euronat this year, except that I am going to need a bag of respectable clothing for the week touring France and staying in 3 and 4 star hotels with good restaurants on the journey there and back where I do hope to get a few surreptitious skinny-dips in hotel pools. I have done this before at several hotels but not at the ones we will be using this time.
However, it would be perfectly possible to travel there in a day with nothing but the clothes you are wearing and staying naked for a month or more if you were prepared to drive naked between the different naturist resorts down the French Atlantic coast, all of which have an adequate supply of nude restaurants and shops.
On my next trip (for a week, starting on Friday) I will be wearing a shortened kilt, T shirt, jumper and footwear. That is because I think the airline won't let me board the aircraft naked, even though it would help airport security. And I will take only a spare T shirt, two cloth squares (one see through) and two see through wraps - and my beach towel (not for wearing) and sun hat.
