Return to DiscussionsI finally got back to Spa Castle after a 3-year (Covid) absence. Its pretty much the same except youre only provided two small towels and one uniform. Additional uniforms or towels can be obtained for a charge. I suggest you bring your own bath towel along. Most areas of the spa are open. The mens locker room is fully open. The bar is open but it appears the grill (burgers, sandwiches, etc.) has not reopened. The 2nd floor saunas are all open as is the outdoor pool area (I didnt venture there with outdoor temps a bit too chilly). Prices are up a bit too. Most weekdays are $50, with Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays at $60. Glad to get back to the Castle as its extremely clean and well maintained. Give it a try.
I also got back to Castle two weekends ago for the first time after Covid. Granted they had just raised the price to $60 for Saturdays which I wasn't aware since I had look at web site few weeks back and they had nothing about the $10 price increase. I wish I had taken the deal of $35 coupons but buying 20 was a bit much. Ya, the 2 two free towel is a pain and so is one uniform but I knew from another bud that you could take your own towel and clothing so I had extra stuff with me in my bag (which they didn't even search). That weekend the grill by the bar was open so we got some over priced food! The rest of the facility was just as I remembered it. Went there with a few buds that it was the first time going so they were trying out everything. The other thing was they closed at 9:30pm. I was use to staying till after midnight so having to leave at half way thru the night was like 'what do we do now?". One bud was like 'lets go to Kings, they close at midnight'. I was not in favor of spending another $35 to get into Kings though for $35 we would have gotten more time to hang out in spas nude. Granted King does not have as many spas and pools but then is paying some $30 more for Castle worth it? Maybe, depending on what you want to do. King does give you endless towels that is a plus and it stays open later but spas/pools there is not as many. Buds were cool about hanging out nude, those for the first time were impressed but we've talked that $60 some ways a deal braker.
