Return to DiscussionsHi. From what I've heard, and my own phone calls to Solair--they don't seem too inviting to single men. They also seem to want to know too much information about you, they interview you; and like it's a trial period--you go there 4 times, then if they still like you, you will be allowed to come back. Don't know that much about Sun Ridge, have heard mixed reviews.Dyer Woods, over the border in RI closed last year.Berkshire Vista, in the northwest corner of MA, seems to be much more accomadating to all. Only down note I've heard from visitors, is that last year or so, they have co policy, not nude only, like they used to have.Hope this helps. Oh, and if Solair has improved, like others who posted on here have said, I'd like to know how they may have changed? Thanks
My experiences at Solair have been excellent. Both times I was required to take a tour, during which an informal interview took place, with one of the long-time members. But that was useful in that he pointed out the various hiking trails etc. Had no problem as a single man, but also I'm a member of AANR, TNS etc., so that membership card makes me look like the serious nudist that I am.
A TN friend, a single male who is not a member of this group, went to Solair for the first time yesterday. I'm looking forward to a full report, but he arrived around noon and texted me around 9pm, still there. So he couldn't have been having a bad time!
I was a member of Berkshire Vista Resort in the 1980s and early 1990s, back when it was called Birch Acres, and found it to be extremely welcoming back then. Hoping to visit again some time soon...it's been over 20 years.

Hey, so I'm probably headed back to Solair this Friday. I'm kinda pale, as anyone who was at Matt(1) & Dan's can attest. I usually get there around 9 or 930. Will probably bail by 4, before it gets crowded with the weekenders. Hit me up if you're going to be there.
