Caught By The Neighbours

Return to DiscussionsWhile I certainly do my best to try not to be caught or seen unless others want to see. I am sure it's possible some of my neighbors may have seen me at one point or another. Either because my cat moved some blinds in just the right way where people may be able to catch a glimpse of me or because when I am nude at home, I have a habit of forgetting that fact and end up doing things inside or outside before realizing the lack of attire.
The only example I have that may represent having been caught by a neighbor, I was in my backyard setting up a ladder to clean out my gutters when I heard someone tell me to remember to put something on before I go up the ladder to clean the gutters. They did not say anything else and never mentioned to me about seeing anything and I never saw them seeing me. But by what the I heard from them, I assume they knew I spent a lot of time textile free.
I too have no idea if I have been caught by neighbours, if so no one has said anything and i know most of them well. I collect my newspaper every morning from my front porch, usually it's within 3-4m of the front door. A different delivery person was throwing it on the front lawn so I was up earlier to avoid getting caught, that was a 12-15m stroll. Some home nurses visiting a sick neighbour a few weeks ago did catch me, they were totally unexpected and i only saw them when they said good morning. They are nurses (as was my late wife) they have seen everything and not offended by much.
I/we have and our neighbors, current and previous, didn't seem to care. Been in this house 16 years and never had a complaint or the cops show up at the front door.
We are not exhibitionists in any way or form BUT, we don't hide how we live. Daytime, windows are sometimes open, blinds open and the house is lit by natural light. Night time, we close the windows, turn down the blinds, at the front of the house, but don't close them completely. People walking by would have to come up on the porch to possibly see anything.
Out back and around the sides of our home, we only have one next-door neighbor and we've been seen by them more times than we can count. We will work in our garage, cleaning, organizing, re-arranging and will pull the cars out, maneuver them around so we block the neighbors, across the streets view, but it's not completely blocked. There could have been times they caught a glimpse of us moving around or working but we're not even 1/2 exposed to them. They've not complained or called the cops. I wonder if it's because it's not just me they see naked but also my wife.
I take the trash bins out to the curb each week at around 11:30p. I usually do it nude. I think I've been seen by the neighbor lady across the street and down a house. I had no idea she was standing out there smoking a cig. If I wanted her to see me, I wouldn't have turned the porch light off.
We are and have always been believers that there is nothing wrong with the way we live. We are good neighbors and I think that has always been why our neighbors have been accepting or tolerant of our nude lifestyle. I'm always reminded of something a previous neighbor, across the street in a two-story home said to me. "If someone doesn't like what they see in your backyard, they shouldn't look and can close their blinds. It's your yard, you should be able to live any way you want." Too bad she moved away but the current neighbors in that home seem equally as accepting or tolerant. Although, we've taken steps to minimize their view of that side of the backyard.
