Return to DiscussionsWe've only had our motorhome a short while and one of my favorite places to camp naked is ... Death Valley. I've done it once alone and twice with my grandson. I want to spend a few nights out there with my wife but not sure how she'll take the rustic nature of DV and dry camping. I'll have to break her in slow. Several more trips to GLen Eden are planned, she did like camping naked there.
We haven't camped there yet ... but I know we'd love to "camp" in our motorhome at Laguna Del Sol in Wilton, CA. We visited there and stayed in the hotel but during our self tour, we discussed borrowing my dad's motorhome and returning to camp lakeside for a week. Low and behold ... we ended up buying my dad's motorhome so .... it's now ours and all we have to do is plan and save $$$ for gas! LOL One of the reasons I can't wait to go back to LdS is that it's such a long drive and I usually drive naked ... so driving for that length of time, naked and with my wife participating ... semi naked ... it'll be a fun trip ... going, being there and coming home! : )
I'll tell ya that I have found the perfect place to clean our motorhome after a long weekend in the desert ... our club! I can usually get away with cleaning the inside of the motorhome naked when it's parked out front of our house but ... I'm always putting shorts on and taking them off to leave the motorhome. After a long weekend in the desert, I decided to spend the money and get an RV site at our club and clean the motorhome there. I opened all the blinds, opened the windows, turned on the radio and commenced to cleaning. The couple next to me thought it was a good idea. My wife and I talked and even though it was a lot of work and I had to do it myself ... it was worth it to get the spot for the day, clean the inside and the outside cabinets and not have to worry about slipping on some shorts. I might have spent the night if my wife wasn't working. She would have come and spent the night and the next day with me. SO ... my favorite place to clean my motorhome ... our club! :D
Anticipating much more camping/RVing when my wife retires ... shortly. She seems to prefer naked camping over textile but likes to venture off the compound and visit the surrounding sites. For us to do that ... we need a towed vehicle. I'm looking at Jeep Cherokees or Libertys. We will be visiting close nudist friends in the near future. They have a vacation home in AZ. It's only a 2 bedroom/2bath home and there will be 4 couples staying there for a week. Last year our friends, the owners of the home, converted a huge storage shed on the property to a Casita. That became the 3rd bdrm. We will take our motorhome and park it in their backyard. They purposely leveled and graveled an area for a motorhome or travel trailer next to the casita. This will be the fourth bedroom and 3rd bathroom. It's not really camping but it'll still be fun. I'll post some pictures in the group gallery when we return. ;-)
We've stayed at Laguna del Sol but were in one of the rooms in their hotel. Clean but definitely needed some sprucing up. We scouted out the RV sites and both of us said ... "we need to bring the motorhome up here and stay for a few days." We've been to Olive Dell several times but only for the day. I'm not really particular about where I camp as long as I can camp naked! Red, White and Blue would have been a great place to camp but ... while we were there on a week day and the weather was sunny but a little breezy, which made it a little cool, we witnessed more gay sexual activity in the parking lot than we cared to and they were pretty blatant about it. There was plenty of area for them to be discreet but they chose not to be. That's all moot anyway since the owners sold the property ... still a nice beach and great place to be legally naked at the beach.
Hello,Does anyone know of a nudist camp grounds here in northern California? Someplace I can keep my 5th wheel trailer. I know of the big 3, Laguna del Sol, Lupin and the Sequoian.Thanks,Greg
We've not visited Lupin but plan to on this next driving trip up north. It'll be a dayvisit but a visit none the less. We've not visited the Sequoian but we've stayed at Laguna Del Sol and that's a very nice place. We are currently planning a return driving trip up to LdS in the early summer before it gets really hot. My cousin lives up that way and we're going to visit with them for a few days and then spend the remaining days of the trip at Laguna Del Sol. We'll be in the motorhome and towing my Jeep Cherokee Sport. I'll try and scout out some off road trails to take my wife on and get in some naked 4x4ing and hiking if we can find a trail!
My only recommendation would be Laguna Del Sol, at the present time. Don't know much about the other two.
Any good nudist friendly places I can take my 5th wheel to here in California ?Greg
I know it's late but ... where in California? There are several places you could take your RV and have a great time.
Laguna Del Sol, Lupin, Olive Dell, Glen Eden, DeAnza Springs ... these are established clubs but I've done some naked camping in national and state parks as long as you're away from others!
