What an interesting year to be born. For Americans like myself it was a tumultuous one with the Vietnam war, assassinations of Martin Luther King and also Robert Kennedy. Also momentous achievements like the Appolo 8 mission sending astronauts around the dark side of the moon. As the first of gen Xers we played Atari and watched the first moments of mtv.
I feel I was lucky enough to have lived in a time that still held the last bit of ignorant innocence allowed. Now its different and thats ok. I dont feel the need to return to a simpler time nor go backwards. Nudity was more normal among men and it was less prudish for nudist but now we have more sanctioned beaches and resorts for nudity than before. I pray innocent skinny dipping and locker room nudity make a comeback but most I hope we can teach the next generation the value of shared nudity without shame.
