What I really like about the (so) many lakes close or around Berlin is that they are rarely organized by someone and accessible for everybody. Swimming naked is something that feels (sometimes more, sometimes less) generally accepted and there's no big fuzz around it.
Some very famous nudist swimming spots are even not entirely legal - but still manage to work somehow. Due to this non-organization, bathing spots can be of quite limited capacity sometimes because only a part of a lake has been transformed into a lawn, whereas in others you have to find yourself a spot with access to sun and water practically in the wild. The whole west-side of Tegeler Forst at Havel for example is pretty accecible next to a long path for people walking.

Personally, nudism is never a must. It is great though to have the chance to find places where (in respect of others) it is possible to do such a simple thing as beeing naked in nature without putting up fences - that, given some thought, seems to be more complicated than it might seem.

Would be great if everybody to post a few of their favorite spots in the area.
