Just curious about CWP holders
Return to DiscussionsIf this topic is outside of the rules for this group I apologize.
I was curious about CWP holders and when and where they carry. Not sure how you would do that on a resort or if you would even want to my thoughts as you wouldn't. But in the outside world. Thoughts?
CWP = concealed weapon permit
Thanks for the info. We do not as a rule use concealedweapons here in UK !
We do not use ANY weapons here in the UK unless we are about to
commit a crime.
I was wondering WHERE/HOW a nudist conceals a weapon. But then I remembered that nudists carry towels.
This topic came up in another thread on here last week. Apparently it's okay to carry a gun under your shoulder, or on your waist but not on your ankle.
My immediate thought was why would you want to?
Would carrying a gun under your towel be covered by this permit?
Simple rule, if nobody has a gun, nobody can get shot

The rule you're talking about sounds like the recent changes to the law in Texas. With the new change, a licensee can carry a non-concealed handgun in a shoulder or waist holster, but not an ankle or thigh holster. Concealed can be carried anywhere you're comfortable. Other states have different rules.

All of the clubs that I have visited, including Cedar Creek in S.C. prohibit weapons, and given the alcohol abuse that I've witnessed at several clubs, not a bad idea!
It just seems like a whole different world to me in England, a lot of my life was spent living in inner London. I've visited the US a number of times and witnessed what this thread is talking about but I have trouble understanding the why's etc

My goodness. A nudist club or resort is such a joyful place and its where we can all find peace and relaxation. I can't see why bringing a firearm into one of those places would contribute to that relaxing atmosphere.
Other than that...writing about weapons is a political hot button and like religion should probably be avoided in secular forums like this.
A couple of years ago, a law passed in IL that people can have concealed weapons in public. Some people said that it was just allowing what people were already doing, but I personally feel less safe. Immediately thereafter "no guns allowed" signs popped up all over public buildings, and maybe at some point people will make an issue of going to places without the sign posted. But for now I'm reminded that mass shootings are a way of life in the US. It now seems harder to buy nail polish with VOCs or cold medicine than semiautomatic weapons. As Orlando shows, the combination of no control on weapons of mass destruction and poor mental health coverage is lethal mix that's shooting our future in the foot (if not killing children directly).
