I too like the direction this thread has taken, as well as the comments in it. As touched on above potential/new nudists can be put off from enjoying social nudity because of the influences of the media, in particular the beauty/fashion sections. To me being a nudist is more about enjoying life naked without those issues, just be naked and enjoy the comfort, freedom and relaxation this brings, forget about 'societies' ideas of what looks good. It has been said here before, nudists like other parts of broader society come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, if you want to be nude at home on your own, at nudist venues or in clothing optional situations like a public nude beach do it for yourself, don't hold back because of misconceptions about nudists or what certain sectors of the media says.
I've never regretted that first time I was nude in company, being a nudist has been a liberating experience ever since, one I have no intention of giving up, I love this way of life. I've met many really good people through our shared preference for nudity, I look forward to meeting many more nudists
