Coldest outdoor shower you've taken
Return to DiscussionsIt's true after being with Luann 25 years I would pay $$$ to hang out with her naked just one more day with her or watch her shower naked. Last weekend it was barely cracking 60 degrees and of course she goes outside of our camper for a naked shower. I always wait for her to take hers 1st then I follow up.
She loves the outdoor shower experience and I will tell you I was NOT at 62 degrees. When the hot water is eventually turned off one will pay for it! Nothing like a 62 degree cool breeze in that moment of time. It does not seem to phase her but I whine like a sissy girl.
I take about 80% of my showers outside, year-round. It does get cold here in So. Cal, by our standards. I've taken showers outside in 60F. There's been a slight breeze and it's amazing how quickly you can dry yourself off! Spring, all through Summer and into early Fall, Di will shower outside and enjoys it. Funny thing is that she always tells me she's going out there to shower. I'll say, "okay," then she says, "that's an invitation to come out and sit there while I shower." I think having me out there with her gives her a bit more peace of mind and security. She'll shower outside, if we've been working and it's in the low to mid 60's but if it's breezy, she comes inside to shower.
We have an outdoor shower on our motorhome. Di likes to shower outside while camping but it's usually just a rinse off shower because of the soap and shampoo run off. She asks me to go out there with her just as she does when we are home. At our club and resorts, it's funny how many guys go for a walk when she's out there showering! haha
I draw the line at mid 60's. I am a furnace man that hates the cold and I'm all good being called a wuss. 35 yrs later freezing in a cold svc van going to a house with no heat I got over it. It's just not worth it to me.
My Luann will do 60 degrees for an outdoor shower and shake it off with zero probs. Not me I have the camper naked warm and staying put.
I shower outside in all seasons. 70F is about 21C, so that is an acceptable temperature for an outdoor shower. Cooler than that is somewhat exhilarating, but I'd prefer that than no shower at all. When camping, we have a portable solar shower which works well.
I think it must be this cold water beach shower after a pre-breakfast skinny-dip on holiday at San Agustin, Gran Canaria in 2020.
According to a weather history web site the air temperature was 54F (12C).
The picture is a frame grab from this video which I made that morning.

Living in South Carolina I will generally stop showering outside by the first week of November. This year on New Years Eve I showered outside in 42 degree weather. There was not any wind, so it was not to bad seeing the water gets up to 118F. This was by far the latest in the season I have ever showered outside. The coldest showers are wind there are windy conditions. There is nothing better than the outside shower.
