When the block was sold next door, we arrived one weekend to find all the foliage which we had grown for privacy on that side had been trimmed to within an inch of its life ! No notice, and now no privacy, just as you have experienced. We did not change our lifestyle, but it made it very uncomfortable. After the first summer, we decided to just sell and move...quite drastic, but the new neighbours were not nudist friendly and we did not feel comfortable there any more. So put up the privacy screens or encourage the neighbour to join you...else its wait for the trees or move. Best of luck !

In the UK one could have continued your unchanged lifestyle with impunity, regardless of whether they could see you of not. Also in law if he greenery was on your side of the boundary, you could also have sued them for the cost of a professionally installed privacy fence.
Though we have a private back yard and living in the country we still have some vulnerable views one being a service lane for the farm operation
situated far in the rear of our place. The farm mgr and help hired hands caught on to how we live and been pretty respectful about our privacy.
We have never felt pressed to routinely shut every blind in the house and quite frankly I hate that closed in feeling. There is a sight line on the service lane that one could look through our side picture window and see us sitting on the couch at night.
It's never been an issue if we happen to be seen in the backyard when there huge farm equipment much taller than our 6' fence. We know we have had times of glimpses of us through the window as they drive by and that's been a non issue as well. Usually only happens during the busy harvest season with them going in and out continually. Lately there has been full on stop of vehicles and equipment and I might note that it started after Luann and I traded spots and she is the one in more prominent view. They are not trying to hide or anything like that with flashing warning lights and equipment lit up. They sat there long enough Luann put her arm across her breast and still they sat. She said I know they can see me I'm looking right at him and then grabbed a pillow to place in front of her. If she got up and walked away well that would have been a full rear view.
I don't know that she was rattled about it not saying anything more and not closing the blind when the tractor finally left. This is not to the degree of lost privacy of long time foliage eliminated or a tree house over looking a private back yard. Obviously we can shut the blinds and will until Harvest season is done but it is sure bothersome this even started after all these years.

Reminds me of the same type of issues our friends in CO have been experiencing the last few years during Harvest time. Their property abuts a few wheat fields and some of the farmers have caught a glimpse of her sunning in the backyard patio deck or on their upper deck and the tractors, trucks and combines have stopped as if waiting for her to get up and walk away for an all over view. She said that she just covers with a sarong and they drive off to do their work.
We visited their home during harvest a few years ago. Di and she were on their patio doing so craft type things with stocks of wheat. Funny thing is that the day before, we were all on a nude walk through these very fields of wheat. They were both wearing sheer cover ups because of all the farm equipment traffic. My male friend and I were naked and doing a few things on the property and weren't in sight of the equipment operators. Di said that our female friend got pissed at the equipment operators slowing down and looking their way and she just waved them off with the back of her hand as to say, "keep moving along, nothing to see!" Kinda funny, kinda sad... kinda pisses you off! ;-)
