Bar-hopping tour in Curacao
Return to DiscussionsI know the cruise is still almost 1.5 years out, but we just got back from a Southern Caribbean cruise and joined a group from Cruise Critic who did an evening (7 - 9:30) bar-hopping tour on Curacao with Irie Tours (www.irietours.com). Cost was $25/pp and included beer and rum punch on the bus, and a bottle of green rum from the first bar we stopped at (Netto Bar in Otrobanda). Other bars in the tour include Zanzibar (beach bar - we didn't get to this one due to a big traffic jam in Willemstad), a whole complex of bars at Mambo beach, and 27 (in Punda). Our cruise also stays in Curacao late, so if we get enough people (minimum of 25) we could do something similar.
We are new to nude cruising but know glen and linda. We'd like to go bar hopping in Curacao. Sounds like fun! Cabin #9281.When is a payment due?
Payment is just cash to the tour operator at the bus. We are working on a second bus now. I don't know if we need to have 25 minimum total, or 25 minimum per bus. You would bring us to 41 yes, plus 12 maybe. That could get us to 50, then we have 25 per bus. If they want 25 per bus, we will have to do what we can to get the maybes over to yes. We also have to see if we get any defections once we have access to Carnival's excursions in January.

I sent out messages to everyone who has shown interest in the bar-hopping tour here, on Cruise critic, and on Bare Necessities site. Even though we still don't have an official shore excursion list from Carnival, I am trying to get an idea of how many Yes/No/I'm-waiting-to-see-what-Carnival-offers we have so I can give a better number to the tour operators. Hopefully you all got my TN mail messages.

The official shore excursion list is out. The only C/O one that runs in the evening is already sold out (Sunset Harbour Tour with Open Bar) and there is only one other night excursion.
I had a GREAT time on the bar hopping tour. I'll do one again in the future. Only one bus load of people showed up, but it was fun. Lights and loud music with everyone having fun! They city is beautiful at night.
Once the tour started and I didn't have to worry about setting everything up and figuring out who was coming, we had a great time as well. When we did it with a random group from Cruise Critic it was fun, so I knew people from Bare Necessities would be even more fun to go with.
