We are booking on the Cruise, the Good and Bad
Return to DiscussionsOn the good side it's in February. In 2015 it was -30 below wind chill at home when we were laying naked on the deck in 80+ degree beautiful weather. To many wonderful experiences to list
On the bad side, this time Carnival is not offering a drink package. A drink package worked out so well for us. You knew what the bill was going to be and never had to have a thought or concern about over spending. I had one particular bar that I favored on the pool deck. The 1st time I went there I tipped the Bar Tender very generously. I believe in extra tipping of the service staff. 2nd time tipped him again and we talked a bit. The entire cruise after that if he was on duty I never even had to hand him my sea pass. He knew my pass number and what I drank. When the bar was stacked full of people he would spot me in the back, give me a head nod and poof be handing me my beverage and off I'd go. I always made sure to keep him tipped throughout the cruise.
I'm not sure but I think one will have to sign for each purchase? Also I wonder how many bottles per stateroom is allowed since Celebrity changed their alcohol policy.
I haven't heard as much talk or the organization some couples did for pre-cruise hotel stays as in 2015. As I recall there was a hotel in Miami that was almost a take over and the one we landed at in Fort Lauderdale. Who ever put those arrangements together put out a lot of great effort. Much appreciated !! Before the cruise we spent a couple days sitting around the hotel pool, lounge, restaurant down the block and made wonderful new friends even before the cruise. Sadly one Canadian couple we met there that we stay in close contact with could not make this cruise.

Have you been going onto the bareharbor.com forums? They usually post any get together information on there.

You know I hadn't for week or two. I did and saw some activity
going on at Paradise Lakes so I thought hey cool that's doable.
That late afternoon I got a call from friends we met here on
TN and they are on the cruise. He suggested we meet a couple days early at Paradise
Lakes. Guess it was meant to be. Lil Wifey just booked the
room. And now for the thing that drives me nuts...trying to
book a direct flight out of Indy which usually falls
somewhere between can't to next to can't.
