Backyard Nudists

This is a group for those who may be Home Nudists or those who cannot always get to a Nudist Colony, Camp, or Resort and therefore take things into their own backyard! Whether your backyard is private enough or not, perhaps you lay out nude, skinnydip, garden, or mow the lawn, this group is for you!

Pool Maintenance

Return to Discussions

When we had the pool closed in the fall, I was busy and when I got time to clean the filter for the winter, it was too cool to do it nude.
I try to do all of my pool maintenance nude, and since this is a messy job, I especially want to be nude and jump in the shower as soon as I am finished.
Looks like this week should be warm enough to be nude while I clean the filter.

RE:Pool Maintenance

I did my own pool maintenance with the first pool we ever had. It was an above ground pool that I had sunk into the ground about 2ft. It was easy to manage. Our next pool was a in ground concrete/gunite pool and after realizing I didn't have the time to take care of it, we got a pool service and had one ever since.

I still maintain it by frequently skimming, occasionally vacuuming and testing the water but not as regularly as the pool service guy does it. I was out there today skimming the leaves off the surface and at the bottom of the pool. It was an overcast day, but I still did it naked. Not many days in the year when I'm not back there naked doing something.

Pool maintenance can be a somewhat dirty job and take a lot of time. I did a quick close of my pool late last fall. Heavy chlorination, clean & cover for the cold winter months. One of our winter storms high winds tore the cover and the leaf infestation began. It looks a little rough now so an emptying and cleaning is in my future. Maybe the rest of you folks can avoid the mess. A pool is a lot of work but is still great for midsummer heat treatments!

We have a service open and close ours, but I do everything else myself. I did get a lawn service last year. Mowing the lawn is more effort than taking care of the pool and costs less. Plus, I can do my pool maintenance nude but have to wear shorts to mow the lawn, since most of it is in front of the house and we live on a busy through street.

I will say one thing, this is the last pool I'll own or have built! hahaha

They are great to have and almost a must for a water loving nudist. As much as we love being naked in and around the pool, it's hardly ever used and expensive to run. Between electricity for the pump/filter daily operation, chems and pool service, we could go on some nice nakations! Depending on where we end up, after we sell this house, if space is available, a free-standing hot tub will be nice.

on our pictures you will see the wife in the pool. it is a red neck swimming pool, not everyone's choice but works great for us super cheap to operate and maintain. it starts with a non-BPA plastic water tub for animals it is 8-foot dia. and 2-foot depth. I picked it up in a small trailer from a local ag store. it is large enough for the two of us to float on full size floats at the same time and enjoy a little touchy feely because we are in arms reach. as far as chlorine a floater with a small chunk of a chlorine tablet is enough. me checking it once or twice a week is good to keep it in good shape from time to time have to add PH-up. very rarely have to shock it. we cover it when not in or around it due to tree line being close by and leaves would be in it. also keeps critters out. the cover keeps the chlorine from disappearing so use very little to maintain it. as far as hoses and pump, Intec ordered from Walmart about five years ago now and was close to 100 dollars. hoses from Intec also. i think through Amazon. you take a hole saw to put holes in the tub one high one low at about ninety degrees from each other. You will need electricity for pump it comes with its own GFI protector. The privacy fence was much more work upkeep and expense. the grandson learned to swim some in it holding breath etc. The son has since moved to a house with a pool so we will most likely be the only users now.

Eggman, your pool is perfect size for us! We use our inground pool for cooling off when we're sunning. We'll float on a inflatable once in while but mostly use the spa. It's like this house we're in, way, way too big for two people. What it does do is give us the privacy to live as we do.

I think your pool is great!

I understand what you mean, but since my wife won't go to a clothing optional location, mine is the best way for me to swim and sun nude.

Do you have to wear a swimsuit when your grandson is with you?
