Australian Nudists
A place for Australians to meet rather then surfing through random countries for friends, not that there is any thing wrong with that as I fully believe we should look past our own horizon and experience other cultures. It just makes it a bit easier to meet up for functions if we're in the same country.
Sunnyside Beach, Melbourne
Return to DiscussionsHi everybody, just joined True Nudists, but lived as a nudist for nearly 30 years. Looking forward to making new like minded friends.
Thought I might tell you about my first visit for this summer to Melbourne's only nude beach, Sunnyside last week. I've been visiting occasionally for all of those 30 years, but I was shocked to get down there last Monday, and find that the council has implemented a parking fee for the adjacent car park. And $6.50 an hour or $19 all day. It's bad enough that we've got to drive 50km from the city to get there, but to charge a lot of money for parking, makes me feel like we are being taken advantage of. And to top it off, locals who reside in the shire don't have to pay.
There is an alternative, parking a little way away from the car park, and if you get there early, it's not too far to walk. But get there in the afternoon on a busy day, and you're in for a long, long walk, and all uphill on the way back. Guess we'll have to just "grin and bare it".
Have fun and stay nude, Michael
