Australian Naked Hikers

With Australia been such a big place, and most of the Naturist Locations been towards the coast, This group has been started to fill the Gap in Inland areas. Once we get numbers up I will try and organize Day Hikes, Overnight Hikes, and possibly even Week Long Hikes. As well as possible visits to beaches and resorts once the club is a bit bigger.

Establishment for clothing optional walking trails in our national parks

Return to Discussions

Dear Fellow Nudists and Naturists,

As many of you are aware, clothing-optional walking trails are successfully established in countries like Germany, where they have become a positive part of national parks. Unfortunately, here in Australia, the potential for such spaces remains untapped. It is time for us to take action and bring about change.

Why We Need Your Support:

Over the years, many nudist and naturist associations have shifted their focus to activities that prioritise profit over promoting and expanding the lifestyle that we all cherish. It's time we return to the essence of naturismconnecting with nature, promoting body freedom, and creating safe, inclusive spaces where we can all enjoy the outdoors without restrictions.

To achieve this, I am calling on all like-minded individuals and groups to help advocate for the establishment of clothing-optional, semi-remote walking trails in our national parks. Together, we can make this happen, but we need a community-wide effort.

What We Are Aiming For:

We want to emulate the success seen overseas by:

Proposing a pilot program for designated clothing-optional trails.
Engaging with national park authorities and local communities to secure trial locations.
Advocating for the legal recognition of these spaces to ensure naturists have the freedom to enjoy them without fear of prosecution.
How You Can Help:

Join the Working Group: We're forming a working group made up of dedicated individuals passionate about advancing the cause of naturism. This group will engage in research, public campaigning, and lobbying efforts.

Lend Your Voice: Help gather support through petitions, public discussions, and community outreach. The more voices we have, the stronger our case becomes.

Contribute Your Skills: Whether you're experienced in activism, legal advocacy, or just eager to help, we welcome any contributions. Every bit of assistance will make a difference.

This is Our Opportunity

Let's not wait for others to act. If we want to see clothing-optional trails in our national parks, we need to lead the charge. Our passion for naturism goes beyond activities that serve only to benefit select groupsits about freedom, connection with nature, and ensuring a future where naturism thrives in Australia.

If you're interested in being a part of this initiative and actively contributing to the cause, please get in touch. Together, we can make these trails a reality for all to enjoy.

Sincerely,
Vince

Great idea.

I've always wanted to be able to hike or just bushwalk nude without having to break the law or risk arrest.
Just some thoughts:
Do you have anyone on board with any idea about where to start?
Has there been any investigation into the laws and agencies that must be dealt with in each state? (I believe the laws are similar in all jurisdictions but there will be variations.)
Has the ANF been approached for a bit of support or advice?

Hi Eljay,
Thanks for your interest and reply.
I approched the ANF last year, no reply to date.
Yes I know where to start and I have an action plan but would welcome others to take on some task. I ll discuss steps in the group once it has been approved by TN.
AscNSW has already a law that allow public nudity we will use NSW as pilot program then work our way to the rest of Oz.
