ARIZONA ADVENTURES
Our goal is to promote nudism and nudist activities throughout Arizona. This is designed to be an informational clearing house of nudist activities and events for people living in or visiting the great State of Arizona. We hope to post all events, large and small, with contact names, numbers and/or e-mail addresses. People can post their day trips to some of the less known, out of the way...

Return to DiscussionsClub Corner--Arizona Wildflowers
Arizona Wildflowers was born in April of 1980, back when the designation for "nonlanded" club was "travel" club. Apparently the 12 adult founders (plus a boatload of kids) took the term "Travel Club" to heart. They have been everywhere.
The first travels were by motorhome to California for the 1980 and the 1981 WSA (now AANR West) Conventions. With tents onboard for destination sleeping accommodations, at least a dozen people rode in one motorhome for each of these trips. Crowded but fun.
Wildflowers helped launch a club called Canyon Waterway Adventures (now defunct) on Lake Powell in the mid '80s. Photos of the houseboat adventure were taken for publication in a British naturist magazine. On subsequent trips on Lake Powell, adventurers from both England and Canada shared the houseboat with the Wildflowers. Over the next 20 years probably a dozen or more nude houseboat trips on Lake Powell were sponsored by the Wildflowers.
Also in the '80s, Arizona Wildflowers began white-water rafting, first on the Colorado River through Cataract Canyon, then graduating to sponsoring nude trips through the Grand Canyon in the '90s and beyond. Again, adventurous folks from around the world have shared these journeys, becoming fast friends in the process. On the most recent white-water trip through the Grand Canyon, over half the passengers recruited were on a second or third trip chartered by the Wildflowers.
Wildflowers have tent camped in the woods, rented a mountain home for a winter retreat, traveled to a variety of hot springs, and caravaned in RVs from the Mexican border to the Canadian border. Individually there are a number of the members who have traveled to nudist/naturist venues around the world. Favorites include France, Germany, Canada, Hawaii, and the South Pacific.
Don't they ever slow down? Oh, yes, there are the occasional pool parties right at home in Arizona. And even that usually amounts to traveling to another home on a weekend day. Perhaps the term "wanderlust" most aptly describes what drives many of the Wildflowers
