It's Only Natural

Return to Discussions

The common bond we all share here on TN is the freedom of nakedness and nude recreation. What better way is
there to express enjoyment of our lifestyle than by posting our
nude photos openly, for fellow nudists to enjoy and comment on?
During the last century pioneer Nudist Magazine publishers fought
costly legal battles for their right to publish fully nude photos,
knowing that words alone could not even begin to express the
enjoyment of nudism the way a candid nude photo could. The same
holds true today, for all of us who're proud to be seen naked!

I love to take nude pictures and share them here on TN, there are not many nudists in my area and no social nudity, so sharing nude pictures here is a good way for me to enjoy social nudity. I'm looking forward to sharing many more pictures and chatting with everyone.

Since I have been a nudist for a long time I don't have a problem with being photographed nude. It's not much different than going to a nude beach or a resort and people seeing me naked there.

I agree, after many years of public nudity at beaches being nude online doesn't feel any different. I enjoy seeing other nudists so sharing my nude photos seems an obvious thing to do with other nudists.

Good for you. Not sure if they just want some photos you already have or if they plan a photoshoot from what you say. Some time back I was asked to join in a promotional photo shoot for a nudist club that we used to belong to. They'd not found many members willing to appear in it, they knew I shared my nudist photos openly online, so I spent a couple of hours one morning having fun with a small group of other willing participants being photographed using all of the facilities. I knew a few others who were involved and it was a great way to meet new people.

It seems that once its known that you don't mind where you might appear in nudist media you may get asked to do similar shoots. I've been in them for a few other nudist clubs, a national naturist magazine and their website. There's no going back afterwards, once you've made it that obvious you're a nudist, not that I mind one bit. For a while after I'd done them we occasionally met people at nudist events who said they recognised me but couldn't place me, while I didn't recognise them at all. We worked out where they had seen me in publicity material and it was a fun way to start conversations, finding out we visited the same clubs but hadn't met each other before, it led to us getting to make some new friends. I can only think of positive outcomes from being open about my nudism in such ways.

That is a really positive experience. I've not been so fortunate though I've had my nude picture full page in a nudist mag and, as part of a group, in another. I did get a positive response from a textile who saw my nude pic on the local radio website.

Yes it was Olly. I've read some of your other posts about various things you've done that have raised your profile as an open nudist, so to speak. I think its great when other nudists such as yourself relate such stories which illustrate that when textiles learn of our nudism the outcome is positive. Of course not every nudist can be completely open for various reasons, mostly influenced by the textile societys attitude to nudity, unfortunately. Nor will every textile approve of our preference to be publicly naked.

I'm convinced that the more that we're open about nudism the better chance we have of being nude in more situations. Sharing photos of ourselves doing everyday activities the nudist way must help this, surely. Among fellow nudists discussing topics like those that appear in the groups and forums here is normal in my mind, along with sharing our nudist photos, doing so within wider society has to be a positive move to help our way of life become 'normal' within that as well.

You mentioned appearing on a local radio website. If there are any nudists here who are prepared to appear in a discussion on naturism in the Radio Solent area (central southern England) they are looking for local participants. Where I saw this mentioned they said it was clothing-optional.

RE: It's Only Natural

Thanks Nik. I agree that many nudists have external pressures which prevent them coming out as nudists. Why do so many people think of us as perverts? I guess they only get naked for sex. I'm lucky in that I'm retired and have nothing to loose if they do think I'm a pervert. I'm well known in my community - running the Village Hall, being on the Parish Council, Heavily into Armature Dramatics and a regular at the local pub. So they know I'm just like them, but preferring to be naked when I can. (But I was warned not to strip off in the pub on New Years Eve.) I mention my nudism in conversation when I can, or the person I'm talking to might mention it. Just yesterday I was chatting to a man I work with about heating at home and said I keep mine turned up because I'm naked most of the day.
