Body changes
Return to DiscussionsWe all change as we get older, musculature, weight, etc. However Im finding that the more time I spend nude, the more I need to be nude! I get so uncomfortable clothed, feeling like my body cannot breathe properly! Especially on warm, hot days, even cooler days, my temperature tolerance is much better when nude, in fact say Im feeling a bit chilled, with shorts and a T-shirt, I can warm up by adding clothes or stripping completely naked! Does anyone else find this to be true? On hot days, I now completely abhor being clothed and either find a place to be nude or head for the air-conditioning. ( which I keep at 75F so nude.) Please give me your opinions! Im curious to what everyone thinks
Oh yea, I go to a nude hiking area. It was 64 degrees out and chilly. But as soon as I got naked and the sun was on my skin. Ahhh life was good again.
But something I have noticed since I retired and am naked all the time now. Is that my body hair is growing in places that clothes covered before. lol And the bugs bites are in interesting places now.

I've noticed the same thing after 15 months of nearly always being nude, about how my body is growing hair in those spots which used to see more constant cloth contact. It reminded me of when I worked in the seafood of a grocery store and had to wear these ridiculous big rubber boots forty hours a week - we had to hose down the floor every hour or so. Those annoying, steel-toed boots came up halfway to my knees, and before very many months I noticed I no longer had any hair below the point of contact, and making my lower legs look pretty dumb when I was at the beach.
It kind of feels as though mother nature is telling us we need to have something there - if not clothes, she's going to provide! But I'm pretty certain it is more that the constant contact with cloth rubs any hairs that grow in those places off when they are very short, not that the Universe is paying us back for being naked, hee hee! My honey helps me rid my body of such nuisance fur in the places I can't readily see and it all works out fine.
I have been going nude as much as possible for years now, but the past nearly 7 even more so since i left full time employement
and have more free time. I have noticed that i have a higher tolerance of temps that I am comfortable without being too hot or cold compared to others. In clothed settings I am the last one to give up shorts in the fall and the first to switch to them in the spring.
I honestly get sick of people asking me if I am cold when they see me in what they perceive to be temps too cold to wear shorts in. I so want to reply " i am 62 yrs old and know how to dress myself"
There are times that I might be a bit cool in the morning when I set out in shorts but know from looking at the forecast by mid morning i will be the comfortable one and others will wish they had been optimist instead. I dress for the day ahead not the morning chill.
I am also usually the first to wear shorts in the spring and the last to wear long pants in the fall.
Last spring a much younger man who recently joined two of the bands I am in wore shorts to a rehearsal before I did.
I joked that he had stolen my claim to fame and I would be sure to wear shorts longer than he did.
Yesterday, it was 50ish when rehearsal started but had dropped to 43 by the end.
He wore shorts and flip flops anyway. I wore cargo pants, sneakers and socks.
I guess I lost my status.
The other thing I am noted for is driving to rehearsals shirtless and putting one on in the parking lot.
I didn't notice him doing so this summer, so I guess I still have that claim to fame and minimizing clothing.
As far as the effects of aging go, I'm starting to see it. My weight could be less, my skin's not as taut as it was and most of the hair follicles on my head took an early retirement package (or did they just move to where they're not wanted?). My textile wife is at me to be more constant the beach, but I still prefer my brief swimsuits. A concession of wearing a trunk style was not enough, apparently, so back to the skimpy Skinz and Koala.
By contrast at the CO beach when I visit, no concerns about how I look or anyone else. Much better!
