Professional Photographer
Return to DiscussionsI have been photographed and been the photographer. It is not much different with your clothes on or off. You need to interview the photographer first to see if they will do this kind of artistic nude photography. I specialize in this kind of photography but mostly outdoors. I find most people are comfortable nude more than in clothes. You set the standards of what kind of photos you are looking for. Hope you find one that can meet your photography needs. jason
I had a professional photographer ask me if he could take some photos of me outdoors. He knew I was a nudist and wanted some pics for his portfolio. We just walked around my property while he took various pics, both flaccid and erect.
Yes, it's definitely a good idea to check out the photographer's work first. That way you'll know their style of work and what levels they have experience to.
I've posed for a few different photographers and must say that my experience with most of them was a very positive one. Be clear stating what you are comfortable with, so that both of your expectations are clear from the start.
It's so much fun and I can't wait to do it again!
I'm specifically wanting full-body photographs -- I'm a nudist -- I have nothing to hide. I want the photographs to capture all of me. Not just the "ok" parts.
I'm not much of a judge of art. But I'm particularly interested in the photographer's comfort level with the human body -- mine is not pornographic.
I appreciate all of your responses. They give me hope that I may be able to find someone up to the task.
It might be worth checking out some local amateur photographers, or looking at some of the modelling sites (free ones) and contacting a photographer whose work you like. That's how I arranged my first couple of shoots. It worked out really well for me, so I was happy that we would achieve something that I was happy with.
However, I have been approached by a couple of photographers, who, during conversations prior to the shoot came up with a spiel about how they were secretly interested in guys and would like to be able to touch as much as they wanted, have things progress etc. I wasn't looking for that type of experience, so as soon as I said that I would like to keep it just to the pictures, they quickly decided to cancel. So, it's definitely worth plenty of honest communication before hand.
These were the minority, but it's happened more than once
