Recharging time is getting longer, ughhh!
Return to DiscussionsI think it is probably happening to all of us but possibly at different rates. Just made a quick almost unplanned run to help with the new grandchild. She had shown up about 4 weeks early and pushed existing plans into fast forward. Luckily, the wife had gone up (600 miles by air) a few days earlier to start getting ready but was still recovering from an earlier trip. Suffice it to say that she was the lone help mate. That said, she called for reinforcements and that meant *come now*! I quickly packed a small multi night bag and got on the interstate. The first 2/3rds were big road while the last was two lane state roads. In past years, I could do this, show up and help a little and be good-to-go the next morning; my how times have changed. It took about half the next day to get moving but was good after a stretch. Does this sound like anyone else?
We so truly love to have our sons over. They will do anything we ask of them and love them forever. Luann and I are actually more quiet people. Around here between her and I we term it as we are "worded out." There is only to much talking one can take in our ears. We would have sucked as being lawyers. Talking and arguing for a living arg! I can sit in a room with my cousin/brother and do nothing but grunt and we have a great time.
