How Can We Help?

Volunteer at a World Naked Bike Ride event.

Monetary donations are always welcome, as well as your free time
and services such as posting events on bulletin boards or social
media,
fund raising, printing/disseminating flyers, provide security at
the event,making announcements, fixing/assembling bikes,
sending e-vites, body paint, supplies/materials acquisitions, ride
leader volunteer, etc.

Contact the organizers of that particular event for more
information regarding volunteer services and donations.

Bike Ride events are run and powered by volunteers.

Hmmnn ... What to wear? What to wear?

Dress code: '' Bare as you dare. How bare is
that? How much do you dare? It's all up to you: you decide what you
are comfortable with.

There will be plenty of people who will cycle
fully nude, so don't feel that it is your duty to do this, if you
aren't comfortable showing all of your body.
Respect your own boundaries, and go As

Wear a costume, your birthday suit, or whatever you feel like
wearing or not, but most importantly, come join the
ride.

Nudity is optional, not mandatory to join/ride a WNBR event.

Anyone for a road trip?
If you want to participate at a World Naked Bike Ride but the event is too distant from your place of residence,
you may want to contact and make arrangements in advance with other people who will be attending the ride, and discuss
splitting the cost of transportation and (maybe) lodging.

Any close rides near New York???

Yes, it is a lot of fun! Expect lot's of cheering fans
lining the streets, if the event was well publicized where you are.
Some are daytime events and some are night time events. The
ones I have attended always had a fun party for all the riders
after theride... and a warm-up party to get
prepared,before the ride ... decorating bikes... bodies, and
making signs, or other activities. :-)

... On too many occassions the organizers don't haveenough volunteers, or the long time organizers become tired ofdoing the work.
Thank you for pointing that out.

From a rider's(not a volunteer) point of view, "Oh look, there's a
date for the ride. We gather at this location and we ride." simple
enough, right?

There's more to it than posting a date on social media websites and
watching the counter to see how many will participate in the
event.

It looks simple and easy but a lot of hard work (planning,
preparation, legalities, press) and money (permits, police escort,
staging area, etc) go into that event, by unpaid volunteers, to
make it possible for a vast number of people.


... organizers become tired of doing the work. The ridegoes away.

After all these years, Melbourne World Naked Bike Ride has been
TERMINATED. It's OVER, GONE.





Whatever you can do to help your particular bike ride such as,
donate money, time, labor, materials, etc, please volunteer
and assist in some capacity.
The more people volunteer to help, the better we can keep the ride
going for the foreseeable future, get our message across, and
prevent another bike ride from collapsing.
