Tineye
Hi everyone. Is anybody heard about tineye at here? We though
probably it would be a useful information for you guys as well.
This is an online program, you can use it to check pictures , where
they came from, how many website using them etc... It's very handy
if you think the person who talks to you, sent a friend request ,or
just acts strangeetc.... ( just copy the link above their
photos and paste it on the browser on the site, itwill shows you how many results they found and where they came from.)
Unfortunately lots of fake profiles are here, we can not kick
off them from the site but we still have the chance with this, to
notice them and keep them away from our profiles and
pictures.Also you can use this topic to put those names, profile
who you found out it's a fake profile or you have bad experiences
with .Adri and Tomi
This program is really good for finding exact matches and much more reliable as a result .Another handy program/utility when installed is Google Reverse Image Search. You just go tohttps://images.google.com/ and enter a URL or upload an image in second or two you have just about any exact or similar match that may exist on millions of websites. What is even handier is to install the plug-in, similar to the tineye plug-in, where all you have to do is right click a photo to find it.Use Google reverse search with care as it is very thorough. I know of a specific instance where someone modeled nude for a photographer who published the photos, with her permission on his website. She, rightly so, had rights to these photos as well and since they were her best went and used them here on TN for her profile. Google reverse search quickly found the photos on multiple sites which made her look like a fake or impostor but she wasn't. Google also finds images it believe's are close matches which have to be scrutinized even more to see if they are indeed the same person.
