Legal or not

Could somebody explain if sex on the public nudist beach is legal or not.

I think that the key phrase is LEGAL as whilst lm not up on French law, my belief is that as with the UK, public sex may be tolerated within contained areas, its not necessarily legal! so if there were a complaint lodged, the police would have to act and with enough evidence, they would then seek to prosecute.
