Group
I'm new to the site and would like to know how to get in a group.
chances are ... you'll not be allowed to any groups where you have to be approved. Most group Mods that have that stipulation probably won't grant you access to the group until you fill out your profile. Yours currently is considered blank! ;-)

Some require approval and some don't ... It would be nice if the
Are you sure you want to join page or the
RULES section would indicate if approval and any other
details are necessary, BEFORE you click on the link to
join... just in case the joiner needs to change something or
decides not to join after reading all of the requirements.
If all of this is already being done, please make it a little
more OBVIOUS. 8-)
It's actually quite simple and should be easy enough to see and read. In each group there is a "Rules" section on the left side of the page. Groups that I Moderate state quite clearly ... "BLANK, PRIVATE or MINIMALLY filled out profiles will not be allowed to join. Those having "PRIVATE" profiles need to contact me directly before I allow access to the group.
This keeps out ALL the trolls, bots and truly undesirables ... as best we can. ;-)

Thanks ...I'mstill learning the site. I had
already noticed the RULES section, but I, also just saw the notice at the top right, under the creator's name. I guess I've just been looking in the wrong places :-/
Next question about groups: It looks like some people post
pictures along with their comments on a "discussion page" - but I
cant see any of them, even ifI'm a member of the group. The pix on the "photo" pages are ok. I just
can't see the one'swhich, I assume, are posted on the
discussion pages. I'm using windows 7 - 64 bit... plus, I have tried both IE and Google chrome browsers(with ABPad
blocker turnedoff)... What else should I be doing... or, where
should I be looking?
Thanks for the help. I thought I was doing something wrong or some
of my security software was secretly blocking the pix. ... I
stumbled upon a similar comment in another discussion, after I
posted my question here, but I haven't seen any of the new
"reference" links, yet. So, if I understand correctly . . .
if I wanted to include a picture with my comments, I could
post the URL for the picture or web page in my comment. ...
That could be a L O N G string
of letters and numbers, couldn't it ? ... or, I guess, I could just
make a reference comment to a picture that is already posted,
somewhere on this (TN) site. :-)
