Promoting nudism and naturism on mainstream sites!
Hey again everyone! I feel like we nudists and naturists have very little exposure due to poor media coverage of the naturist lifestyle. What's your opinion on sharing your experiences on other major websites like facebook, twitter, imgur, reddit and other sites like these? To me it seems a bit scary but extremely useful. A lot of people don't even know that nudism is a real thing. I shocked my friends who I told I was a naturist, and most of them didn't know it existed either. I found a post while browsing imgur's user submitted stuff and found this wonderfully insightful post trying to educate people about it.https://imgur.com/gallery/pUB5J I hope I'm allowed to share that, if not I'll delete this post. But yeah, what do you guys think about educating the general internet masses?
I think it's a great idea, but it can't be done in isolation; it has to be paired with other things if you're going to raise awareness. Fortunately, those things are out there. If you ever need to bring it up in conversation or feel like getting somebody interested there are things like Burningman, #freethenipple and the go topless movement, the world naked bike ride. These are all great ways of making people comfortable with the idea of public nudity. Once they know about these and accept they are a thing then it's not so hard to bring up the topic of nudism.Although, yeah, I have noticed a lot of people have no idea what it's about or that it exists. I work part-time in a book shop/news agent and a colleague recently told me that a lady was looking for H&E magazine and got very annoyed when she was told it was wih the rest of the porn. I had to explain to my friend why she got annoyed and then what nudism actually was.
I am starting to care less what other think and openly comment on Facebook on topless threads and nudity, if my so called friends on face book don't L it they can unfriend or stop following me. But I haven't noticed any blocking me. One girl did but she returned to my list and now chats with me again.
I would love to be able to be fully open re my wife and my love of being nude. But unfortunately its Taboo subject in mainstream Asia.Although my in laws have been told I sleep nude just in case they need to go into our bedroom when we staying their house. Hasn't been any issue over it. Just have to remember to wear shirt and shorts when having a meal there.

Ever since I reluctantly join FB ... I joined nudist/naturist groups, "liked" various nudist/naturist postings and such. I remember one, just one HS friend, female, that did post a reply to a page I shared and her response was ... "Oh my!" I figured she'd block me or defriend me but she has not. In fact I've only had one close nudist friend that told me that she will not friend me on FB because she must be extremely careful because of her occupation and where she lives. I respected that. "Besides, she said, we talk on the phone, email and text almost daily and send each other pictures of us just living, as we all do, and we don't need FB." I couldn't agree with her more!
I am much more open about nudism than my wife and that includes sights like FB. Actually, I've done exactly what you've done and told my friends if they don't agree with what I "like" they can please defriend me immediately! I have a harder time with many of the political posts! ;-)
I am on a website for skirted men - i wear skirts occasionalls including minis ( https://www.skirtcafe.org/forums/ ) and quite a few blokes on there admit to being nudists as well. inclouding myself.
It's not Facebook but nobody has unfriended me because of my naturist interest. Indeed more seem to have "come out" and confirmed that they too are nudists and Ok with it.
Recently, I was on holiday on a Greek island that has a "dedicated" nudist beach (Me and my wife have been there for 6 years now and will continue to visit it in years to come). I texted my golf mates saying the weather was 34deg C and one texted back saying that the home weather had improved as well and he was breaking out his Bermudas!
I replied back saying that I didn't need even that much where I was! He must have shown or recounted the message to the others in my group, because when I got back one of them asked me to explain the message (possibly believing it to mean Speedos or similar - He is a long shorts guy when he wears anything other than trousers).
I confirmed that it was a nudist beach we were on and his only comments, were "I'm not sure I want to know the answer" just before I replied, to a startled "Wow!" when I did reply. He then asked if we always went there to which I replied "yes" and got another "wow" and a gulp! He's still a mate though but he hasn't brought up the subject again.
