What do you prefer....nudist club, a beach spot, or hidden spot in the forest?
I belong to the local nudist club. I love it. Year round access to swimming pools, got tubs, sauna, club house, special events, and a great bunch of people. But I've run across a lot of people who sneak into a special place on the beach or way up in the mountains. Even if it is private or government owned. At the club I feel safe and relaxed. If I was "out there" I would worry about being arrested. My curious question is......what do all you prefer and why? Club or a special place?
First ... the beach. Love the ocean, always have and would love to live on a boat. Next would be a club/resort. I love the open spaces, love hiking and camping naked but not sure I could really relax with possibility of someone/something interrupting that environment.
I too love the club/resort. I like being around others, the social aspect, the events, the friendships you build. We met our closest and dearest friends at a resort. I've yet to meet anyone that came close at the many beaches we've visited on a regular basis. Still some nice people but haven't made the special connection.
A hidden spot would be fun, with my wife, but I couldn't do it for very long ... a night or two.
I used to find deserted out of the way locations, mostly beaches, and didn't realize how much time I spent watching for somebody walking up the beach or in a boat or coming up behind me. Didn't worry much about being arrested but just don't like the idea of shocking someone who inadvertently comes upon me. I didn't realize how relaxing a nude beach can be until I spent my first day at Black's Beach. There's not much chance of anyone inadvertently approaching when you're surrounded by thousands of other naked people. I still get naked in deserted places because the nearest nude beaches or nudist resorts are so far away. I prefer to be surrounded by other nudists though because I find it so much more relaxing. No comparison.
With the forever increasing prudishness that we are facing here in Australia, there are three places that I feel totally comfortable and safe from people who take offence to me enjoying nudism......I used to belong to a nudist club but discovered I am not a club type person. For me I am happy to be nude anywhere but the main issue is being able to do so freely without having to watch over your shoulder.Charles.B
same here - with the increasing 'mainstream australia' additude towards nudism as being a sexual/pervert thing, not helped by the fact that perverts tend to hang around the public areas, its getting harder to find a place that isn't locked away from society.friends thatwe meet up with atsamurai beach over summer are estimating it will not be available to us in 5-10 years time, its the only free public area with a campground that is becoming increasingly invaded by textiles over summer due to the tighter control of it on nearby Stockton beach andas it standsa lot of the 'locals' would ratherus nudistsweren't there as it is. unfortunately asit is the only 4wd beach that doesn't require a permit the locals tend to flock there and while I will be among the first to saythat's their perogative to some extentsome of the more regular localscan be somewhat inconsiderate in the way they drive on and off, chopping up the track as they speed through to avoid having to let their tyres down and pump them up again
All of the above! Sometimes I feel quite social and would seek out places where I would be likely to encounter and interact with other people who share my interests and lifestyle. At other times I feel less social and would gravitate towards places where I can enjoy naked life in solitude ...
it depends where I am, if I am in Cali, I go to beaches or a resort, if I am in AZ (where I Live,) I go to the canyon normally, (the sheriffs don't bother anyone there) or the local resort. I have a few places out in nature as well,DDI belong to the local nudist club. I love it. Year round access to swimming pools, got tubs, sauna, club house, special events, and a great bunch of people. But I've run across a lot of people who sneak into a special place on the beach or way up in the mountains. Even if it is private or government owned. At the club I feel safe and relaxed. Its the beach for me too, love the sea and its surrounds. I'm thinking more of an undeveloped one, a totally natural setting like the local nude beach I use the most. Its very easy to relax there, mostly used by other nudists with a few beach walkers and at this time of year a smattering of textile visitors from nearby camp sites. I like other beach spots but as others have mentioned if its not a recognised nudist place I never relax 100% when keeping an eye out for textiles. I'm going to the beach today with friends, I love nude socialising, its a great way to enjoy the weekend, many local nudist friendships have been formed here, it wasn't the reason for moving here but its been a huge bonus.
I like nudist clubs, again its very easy to relax and never found it a problem meeting new people there, we're obviously all nudists so thats a good starting point and the club is aimed at nude socialising.
Quiet spots in the country are great too but again I never relax 100%, just in case there is someone else around who might not approve of nudity. I like hiking naked and do so with a few friends, we sometimes meet others unexpectedly, we've never had an adverse reaction to our nudity, but you can tell if people are not fully comfortable. I tend to think that we're over cautious about being naked in quiet places, but I'm not into forcing our nudity on others either.
First it would be the beach if meeting friends. While I love going to the nude beach and all it's peacefulness and of course the surf, I'm a very social person and unless you are with friends it can be lonely in a way. You don't want to set up too close to other nudists and infringe on their space so it can end up pretty spread out. I was there once when a busload of nudists came down and set up around me. Although I wasn't part of their group persay, was included in some conversations and really enjoyed it.
I went to a nudist resort a month or so ago and there were lots of people and had nice conversations with some. Loved that too! I think if the resort wasn't 3 hours away and cost so much to stay the night there, I would go there a bunch.
Not so interested in hiking nude or being where you have to look over your shoulder worrying about other people coming by. Kind of takes away the stress free aspect if you ask me. I did go hiking last month on a Nature Preserve for a short while nude but wasn't comfortable. If it wasn't illegal I'd do it all the time.
I think out on a sailboat or even a motorboat would be awesome too but haven't done that yet.
