It's easy to forget, since it's common to be afraid of the cops, that they are also - with good reason - afraid of us. Imagine approaching a vehicle where you can't see what moves the people inside are making, knowing that there's at least a chance that someone in there is going for a gun. What's that possibility going to do for the cop's mood and level of vigilance? If we're going to concede at all that they have a job to do, then tinting is a real issue, because it does affect that job.
It's too bad nudity requires such privacy, where none would otherwise be required. Our farm is heavily hedged, to spare the neighbors the need to explain us to their houseguests - but I know some of the neighbors (and the helicopter patrols, for that matter) have wondered if the hedging is to hide an illegal crop.
In both cases, the "what are you hiding" question arises only because we can't concede as a society that it's OK to see someone's body in an incidental way.
hahahaha ... I didn't want to bring that up ... Always! :D
In the end ... you have to do what's right for you. What some one else finds unacceptable, unlawful, unwise, unfair ... others find it's what they want to do and they take that risk, no one else is taking that risk, no one else is making anyone else take that risk and no one else that's taking the risks is saying that you must take that risk to be a part of something, part of a group or part of a lifestyle.
We've had many news stories in the past several months of nude people arrested for public nudity. The argument is always ... "it's gonna hurt nudism." Where is the hurt? Where is the backlash? Where is the stigma on nudism because of these incidents? Can we even remember what those stories were, who was involved, what the outcome of that incident was? NO ... we continued to do what we do and live as we live and those incidents didn't affect my nudism, my life in any way. I just don't see it mainstream society ... I've only witnessed it on nudist message boards and THAT is pretty sad. ;-)
... and I'm speaking in generalities ... not to anyone in particular or to any of the posters or posts above. :-)
Thursday April 17, 2014 was freedom day for me.Most people would not understand what I mean by this, but those of you that regularly drive nude will. My car was in the shop for almost a month and I had to carpool to and from work. That meant no nude driving. On that day I picked up my car from the repair shop in Glendale and as soon as I was out the driveway I was nude. Drove back to work in Valencia and did not dress until in the parking lot at work. Naturally (pun intended) I also drove home from work nude. The only problem now is the heater core has a leak and had to be bypassed. That means no heater. The days are warm enough that nude driving is not a problem, it is just in the early morning that the car is too cold to drive comfortably nude. I will be replacing the core before this fall, but in the mean time I will be enjoying as much time as I can driving nude.
I'm craving a nude drive. Tomorrow's temps will be in the mid 90's with a Santa Ana wind condition. This means that the winds will be off shore and pushing any cloud cover out to sea. Temps are typically 10-12 degrees cooler at the beach then here at home which puts the beach temps around mid 80's ... perfect! I'll be heading for Black's Beach north of San Diego! Hournaked drive down, slip on some shorts and t shirt, flip flops and the 12 min clothed walk to the sand. Then I'll take off my shorts andt shirt and walk the rest of the way to my usual spot naked. After a full day of being naked on the beach, I'll reluctantly slip on the shorts for the walk back up to the truck and then I'll take them off, get in the truck and head for home. Looking forward to it! :D
The first time I ever drove nude was in my brand new 2012 Mustang 2 years ago. I was leaving a nudist resort called Coventry, just north of Burlington, Vermont. I figured since Vermont didn't outlaw public nudity, and I was already nude, and my seats were made of nice, cushy leather, I decided to drive the entire length of the state, towards Keene, NH, in the buff. Right after crossing into NH, I pulled to the side and put some shorts on (One would think that with the motto "Live Free Or Die" right on their license plate, nudity would be legal there too).
The second time, it was just a few weeks ago, when I decided to rent a Mercedes Benz E63 AMG from Hertz for the weekend. Since it was a 550HP, $100,000 car, I couldn't resist. in 24 hours time, I put 760 miles on it. OMG that car was FUN!!
