Are friends but never respond
A little bit of both ... I have some level of regular exchange with approximately half of my comparatively small group of TN friends ... the other half is silent ... someone who remain silent for too long may become victim of my next spring cleaning ...
I communicate with some quite often, others occasionally and the rest ... rarely. Those that I communicate rarely with are friends in places we'd like to visit in the near future and I became friends with them and them with us, so we could share experiences and places we'd like to visit.
I am also quite visible and in many groups and occasionally post/respond on the forum so I get many friend requests. I've stated that I will not accept a friend request automatically just because someone sends one. I'd like to know why that person wants to be friends. Occasionally I'll get a FR because I have pictures of my wife that are friends only and they want to see those ... not happening.
I do go through my friends list occasionally and weed out those that have left the site, those that have not logged on in months or ... quite frankly, if they've taken a path in discussions that are so far out of line with the way we feel that we really don't have anything in common and are nudists for entirely different reasons.
Its a sign of the times I think. Faceache style friend collecting, its just a number! Don't get me wrong, I'm very into technology, but I do still have those older style ideas about friendships! I like friends who I can communicate with, some old friends I don't have much to do with as life has moved on, but we're still there should we need each other. I've made some good friends on here and similar sites, some I've met up with at my or their local nudist places, so to me it is well worthwhile having friends here, but I do try and keep them to people I want to have as friends.
I sometimes notice that I get a number of FR's if I do something like share a photo in a group, often the senders haven't read my profile - I ask that FR's be from people who I can see are genuine nudists, I can collect indoor selfie-taking 'nude' friends and textiles in many other places, I state that I'm here to meet nudists, some requests are from virtual blanks. If I have no communication after a while I delete them from my friends list, that's if I add them in the first place, I like having friends, but I like true friends who are true nudists. I also ask that they send me a message, an introduction maybe, a minority do. Usually its pic collectors who ignore my profile, I have no problem with people seeing me naked, its the real me, a nudist, I just like to have friends who are real friends, whether their real nudist or textile friends.
i get so many friend requests, it's silly. I will look at each of their profiles, and if there are enough common interests, then I will accept.IF they message me, I will messge back. Most never reply to my reply
Exactly! I can understand if it's a woman, because most are probably inundated with notifications. But, I receive very few responses to messages And, I respond to anyone.
We noticed that Many many friends are that way. They ask to be their friends and a week goes by and thena month and then several months and sometimes it goes more than a year before they make a comment or send a Very short message. We personally don't like those kind of friends and we end up Deleting them eventually. On the other hand we see Many people here that they don't want to be friends for whatever reason and they over and over want more and more Attention and Every topic they want to get Everybody's attention. They probably know who they are, they are somewhat Self-centered.We normally accept everyone, including single, married, gays and even transsexuals as long as EVERYBODY are Nice & Respectful but we will Not tolerate RUDE or Mean people.Rose
I post frequently in group discussions and might be considered ''highly visible'', thus Iget a lot of friend requests. When accepting I'll usually message the personas a way of initiating adialogue. Slightly fewer than fifty percentmessage me in return. That may be, at least in part, because a lot of requests come from members who are new to nudism, feel awkward responding while a small number may simply want to collect friends so they canre-visit others'naked photos. I think the majority of requests, though, are members who seriously want to connect with fellow nudists and simply don'thave time for messaging. It's always rewarding when they do :-)
Fully agree. Happens to me and from mine to others (i.e., both way) also. I always try to answer meaningful messages though, whatever small. But follow up does not happen to occur always. Yes, work pressure is a big factor.
