RE: How,What,Why: More Things To PonderI just read an article about a fight in a local bar. It said that a woman was injured in the fracas. My question is; What is her fracas?

Post #30I_am_SteveBarefootThe dog is naked. Are you saying the dog has more rights than I do? RE: How,What,Why: More Things To Ponderwell I can't really think of why one has no W but if you pronounce the W in two and say it fast enough it almost disappears. A lot of English words with silent letters used to have them pronounced (Walk, Wednesday, lamb) but over time they were phased out to allow for easier and faster speech. This is happening now with the words often and obviously generally being pronounced two different ways, depending on who you talk to.That's my theory anyway.

And if PIN stands for Personal Identification Number, why do we call it a PIN number?
