RE:VolkswagenGrew up wth them. My dad worked in VW dealership then wth VW PORSCHE & AUDI.
I rode in beetles with metal bumpers to Baja Super beetles. From flat windshields to curved ones. I remember the guessing games wth friends regarding which year they were in regards to the size of taillights! Notchback, fast backs. Wagons. Kharmann ghias. 412s . Porsche 914s. I learnt to drive on a Rabbit and ended up owning g a gorgeous yellow 1975 Scirocco in 1979as a graduation gift frm dad. He also drove Audi fox. Audi 100 and finally as a sales manager he drove a gorgeous yellow porsche 911T. We had a Thing one weekend which was fun but very rudimentary. My mom hated it so that was the end of that. I'll always remember the castle on the hub of the steering wheels. Between 1964 until the 1980s VWs were everywhere! One cdnt drive a mile wthout seeing at least a dozen or more! Those were the days everyone could afford to buy, repair and find parts on the cheap. Aaaaah how times have changed!

RE:VolkswagenBig fan of the EOS. Like having a metal roof that folds into the trunk.
Bought a 2008 in 2011 and traded it in on a 2014 last month.
Unfortunately, this will be the last one I own because they no longer make them.

RE:VolkswagenI have a 1988 Transporter with a Reimo camper conversion - an import from the UK with a 1.9 carby and 4 speed. Bought it to enable naked weekend escapes, but instead I retired and it has been used mainly for moving house.
