stabilizers on canoes
I've always thought it would be a good idea for boat manufacturers to offer a line of outrigger canoes. Like the ones commonly used in the South Pacific but with modern materials rather than palm tree wood. Although palm tree construction would be interesting too. Main hull could be narrow like a kayak for speed and efficiency, it could have the versatility of a canoe (One, two, or three people and all their gear), plus have the stability of a catamaran for swimming, diving, and climbing back aboard. And a tramp could be added for great sunning and snoozing :-) I don't think I've ever seen a small, light, easily portable (removable outrigger for transport) boat like that made in the U.S. .... or anyplace else for that matter. I would love to have something like that.
still wanting some so saw some utube videos using crabtrap floats and tubing , so have some on order so can't wait to put it together. i use my kayak for goofing off exploring but my canoe i use for fishing and exploring but want more stability for it maybe even standing so will see .
You may have to build your own. Not that there aren't plenty out
there, but 99% of them look pretty awful. These don't look
bad though, imho. Not sure how you'd transport them easily though.

mine haven't arrived yet but looks like a easy process from what i see on youtube, im planning on pvc pipe and some j hooks and wing nuts to keep in in place and when going to lake ,river a simple unlatch and put in the canoe for easy transport.
