National Park Week
Just wanted to let everyone know that April 18th through the 26th is National Park Week. During this period entry fees are waived for park visitors. While not all National Parks make good destinations for nude hiking, itcreates a goodopportunity to get out and do some exploring.
If you look carefully, you can almost always find someplace within their confines to spend some time au-natural in nature (though most of our local NPs are likely to be a bit cold at the moment). Places discovered now can be visited later in the year or if the day is warm, you may be able to enjoy the sun in very un-crowded conditions.
I hope the folks following this group will have the chance to get and visit our wonderful Parks and be willing to share their adventures with us.
Summer is coming...
Hopefully you know of some general spots within reach of the Boulder/Denver area for us to look.
As for temperature...55, calm wind and sun, especially with trees to knock down any breeze is definitely warm enough. At first, maybe a bit chilly, until the sun starts working its magic.
I'm guessing that during NPW these trails will still be filled with snow but the Moraine park area of Rocky Mt. National Park has some good areas. Try the Cub Creek trail or the Spruce Lake trail from Fern Lake. Another possibility is the Bierstadt Lake trail on the way to theEmerald lake/Dream lake trailheads. Be careful on these trails as during tourist season, they're heavily used. Pre or post season they can be divine.
Not in the park but very nice, are some of the areas along the St. Vrain river. If you take a look at a topo map, you'll be able to spot several access points (look above Button Rock Res.). Sorry to be a bit vague but half the fun of these spots is the adventure of finding them. The other half is of course exploring them naked!
